Canberra Catchup

For anyone going to the game can we please make a plan. I know ISM, Milanja and Rented are keen to meet up. Lip you should join us too and of course anyone else is welcome.

We could meet 20 minutes before kick off somewhere in the ground or we could meet at a nearby pub within walking distance to the ground. My boys and I were intending to watch reserve but if there is a meet up we’ll come along.

PS I can assure all I will be there in spirit as I sit at home on my lounge in my Roosters fleecy polo scarf beanie and drinking tea from my Roosters coffee mug whilst keeping warm coveted up in my new Roosters duvet

Because Bruce is in a black hole of Canberra, there is nothing outside the stadium within walking distance.

I started this thread as I wasn’t sure the other attendees would go to the other thread so I wanted to make it clear to those going and get their attention with the thread title.

Out of interest Why would you think forum members would come to your thread but not Izzy’s ? Do you consider yourself more important? A nasi of some sort ? I say this as you have referred to me as a Lord. For those unfamiliar with the term and to not cause any accidental confusion which may lead to offence I append the meaning of nasi beneath

I'm happy to do some sorta meet-up (on a more serious note than my other post).

Can't think of a lot of pubs that are close ro the stadium (I can walk there from my house). However a few suggestions would be:

- Two Before Ten in Aranda (it's more of a large cafe but has a few taps... bit of a walk though).

- The Basement in Belco (AKA Chompy's - it's further away but the complimentary bus leaves from pretty much outside it).

- There's a couple of restaurants/cafes near the stadium. One (within easy walking distance) called Qure has a bar so we may well be able to reserve a table and grab a couple of drinks before the game.

- Alternatively some sort of half-time catchup might work.
