  • Cheerleavers?

Have to admit to being a bit aghast to see we have apparently dumped our cheerleaders from the club?

They were a great part of the Roosters experience, not just gameday but attending functions, events etc.

Glamour and celebrating women in our sport. Athletes, dancers, gymnasts in their own right. Now told to bugger off and find another gig. No announcements, fan polls or consults, kiss me foot or nuthin.

I have been so proud of our club for rejecting the jiggery wokery that blow ins like Russell Crowe have brought seeping into our game. We stood for tradition and values in Rugby League, and respect of all people.

Sack the person responsible for this. The room is un-read. Unless Nick signed off on it which is likely, then we're buggered.

Who still maintains the values and traditions by having cheerleaders ? I think Penrith do, bless em.

    Wtf.

Why do people keep shoving their ideological views down others peoples' throats.

I really couldn't give a rats. I don't think cheerleaders were part of the game in 1908.

          What's neanderthal about a bloke admiring a woman's body?

Where did he expressly order that women belong in the kitchen?

I'll tell you what's neanderthal. It's the notion that women should not dress as if they were 'uncovered meat'.

Such an attitude betrays the deeper, dirtier thoughts of the speaker.

If it offends your sensibilities, you can always choose to look away. I fondly remember the 80's and the City Fordettes. We often wondered if they said 'yes' more often!

Incredibly, they now have male cheerleaders.

It's shocking. Shocking I tell ya!

It is quite genius to simultaneously save money by sacking people, and still claim a moral high ground.

Not sure if you're just having a go at me, but lets assume so.

As such, my response would be that there is no ideology in questioning a long held and much loved tradition in our game being abruptly cancelled. It deserves to be questioned, at least.

In fact, the only ideological stance would be those that may question my questioning. Hope that clarifies things for you.

Its a shame IMO. My barber's daughter was on the Roosters cheerleading squad.

Your responses always seem to be a personal attack. I sense you may have been abandoned as a babe in the woods, and saved only by a caring family of feral pigs. Welcome back to society. Your grudgitis is understandable.

A real loss , I thought the Cheerleaders added to the entertainment at the game , I remember a few years ago when they had young and older Cheerleaders from kiddies to dancers in their twenties . It gave real experience to these dancers to be performing in public and opened doors to further their careers.

Oh come now Jaxxx. The good lord said Let he who is without sin cast the first stone As for bearing grudges I think you hold a few towards others on here

I do though agree with you I miss the good looking fit female cheer leaders I found the last home game particularly disturbing where there were times through my binoculars I had a Birds Eye view of Kasey Badgers arse as she was directly in the way of Sam Walker as he was kicking for goal. She seriously has a huge arse I likened it to an arse like a baby elephant Yes we need cheerleaders back

I just asked my wife who I think is pretty open minded. She applauded the club's stance. It's not as if they danced to "Here come the Roosters..."

I personally enjoyed watching them but couldn't care less if they're no longer part of the club's fabric. There are bigger issues in the world to worry about.

And no, it wasn't a personal attack on you. I'm just over this left and right crap.

Ahh it makes sense now, the two games I’ve attended this year had some amateurish random nutters running around the ground before the game like they were on some rave drug.
