Unfortunately not surprising news looked every bit an ACL mechanism when it happened feel for Egan as this time of year he would of seen more playing time with the SOO guys missing games.

Just shows you how tough these players are, he continued to partake in quite a few sets after that incident.

Good luck on the rehab Egan.

Completely agree Vasco, he was just starting to find his feet. He's a lot better player than a lot on here give him credit for. Hoping his rehab and recovery goes as good as possible.

                    Christ we are cursed.
1985: 1 try vs Parramatta, 1 try vs Manly, 1 try vs Wests, 2 tries vs Souffs
1986: 2 tries vs Illawarra, 1 try vs Balmain, 2 tries vs Norths.

9 to 12 months of recovery and rehab in front of Egan one would assume.

His leg looked quite floppy just as he did it. It's an awful feeling.

Agreed. He went off the boil last year, couldn't catch a cold, but he started to his straps this year.

From a squad perspective it’s probably not a major loss we have the depth to cover him and Robbo rotating troops will come in handy now.

From a personal perspective for him though it’s tough. He was improving game by game and I don’t think he’s anywhere near as bad as some say. Also worth noting that it’s a tough injury to recover from and never good to see. Hope he’s doing alright mentally and raring to fight for a spot in 2025. Fingers crossed and touch wood it’s the last injury of this nature we have at this club for a long while. We’ve had our fair share.

Yeah I was pretty scared as soon as I saw him go for a simple catch and fall down immediately, unable to move. They were then straight away feeling around his knee.

Sigh. Kinda surprising they let him continue TBH...
