I worry that the blues are going to get belted and poor Teddy will become the scapegoat.

I truly hope he has an absolute blinder and wins NSW the game single-handedly.

Soft decision by Teddy to accept Madge's SOS.

Even if he gets man of the match, he will be dumped for the second.

If NSW lose, he cops it, and they all say if we had Dylan in................................................

Hopefully Manu has a blinder today!

Far out. Great news for Teddy. He should've been there from the beginning. But it means he is out for today's game

While it’s frustrating news for us who else would you back to get called into the origin squad a couple of days out and on roosters game day other then the nsw and kangaroos captain? As a chooks fan we know Teddy will kill it like he always does and the best man for this kind of situation
my only concern other then Teddy missing today for us is he plays well and nsw win then he will be in origin 2 as well
but who else would you trust to do the job like Teddy will

The soft decision would have been to say he wouldn't play.....and a sour decision at that. Thats not Teddy

Teddy is a professional, has strong character and will give his best. Best of luck to him

Todays game is another showcase into why they need origin at end of year or stand off weekends
11 players now out (could have been 12 if Keary not released) plus we have a few injured it really effects the nrl season every year

I reckon it’s absolutely pathetic from all parties involved and shows how small fry the competition is.

Penriff showcasing why they win comps. Don’t want to risk their prize possessions for a spectacle game. Teddy gets brushed then settles for being second best. Laughable situation all round.

                        What a shit show.

Tedesco gets the cold shoulder from Maguire/NSW and trains all week expecting to play NQ.

Little Dylan hurts his little leggy and suddenly Tedesco has to drop everything he's doing and go to NSW's rescue.

An already disrupted Roosters team, desperate for a win to climb into 4th position, is further disrupted to accommodate Maguire who is now on his knees begging (and probably gagging).

And what will the NRL do to compensate?

Easts will no doubt cop a rogering from the ref and the bunker today and lose by 4 points. Annesley will then come out and say 'yeah, sorry, we got it wrong against you guys again'.
1985: 1 try vs Parramatta, 1 try vs Manly, 1 try vs Wests, 2 tries vs Souffs
1986: 2 tries vs Illawarra, 1 try vs Balmain, 2 tries vs Norths.

Fake of Origin is so past its use by date but will continue via the NRL media partnership to generate further revenue for itself.
It’s not a showcase for me at all because it’s always been about the QLD $.
For those that have suggested an end of year format it won’t happen.
Fake of Origin and the GF are both owned by Ch9, so it won’t want to compete with itself , because Fake of Origin entails 2months of tabloid revenue.
If the FOO followed the GF the window too tight for media coverage back to back with a 3 game series up to Dec.

As for the Teddy scenario - the media have had a field day as they have with the Spencer selection by the NRL/Media partnership, Edwards likely was injured when selected but couldn’t get it his injury right when the insiders knew all along.
It’s not so much about the game it’s the tabloid hype revenue. The NRL/ Media partnership select the blues team always factoring in the QLD $. The Tragic Round in Brisbane play$ a huge part in the lead up to Fake of Origin.

I hope you are horribly wrong and off the mark.

Not because I don’t respect your opinion, but because it’s so eerily accurate and worries me.

What gets me is if you have a 20-man squad in SOO, isn't that to compensate for possible injuries? Where does one draw the line? Why even have a 20-man squad for this circus spectacle in the first place? So, Jake T and Payne Haas develop migraines on Monday, no problem - we'll just take next best available. It may as well be a bottomless pit. The sooner SOO goes to one game a year (or not even at all) on a standalone weekend the better. That will never happen of course while the turnstiles are ticking over for this overrated wank fest.

No offence Teddy and the Roosters hierarchy, but you should have told Madge to stick SOO up his arse. I don't care how politically correct and how nice it looks that we are doing the nice thing. Bottom line is, losing our captain and arguably our best player, not only did it cost us two points, but potentially a top 4 finish at season's end.
"Do you expect me to talk"? "No, Mr. Bond, I expect you to die".
