Bloody hell what a dogs breakfast, we lack leadership and grit in the tight affairs, we were never winning that no intensity poor leadership from Kez never built any pressure they powered right through the guts all night ah what could have been.

Even the most rose coloured spectacle supporter can’t defend that.
The mentality in that game was so far away from where it needs to be to be anything in this comp. I was almost hoping the Cowboys hung on purely because we didn’t deserve a thing from that game. Individuals out there who had the idea from kick off it would be a cakewalk. You could tell.
We were waiting for them to go away, but instead of making them go away, we were hoping they’d fark up. They did and we still threw it away. Honestly one of the worst performances I’ve seen in a decade just purely from an attitude perspective.
every single thing we did tonight was easy way out weasel mentality. Personified by Joey Manu trying to score on play 1 with a blatant double movement.

We failed on the basics today, run hard, tackle hard. That wasn’t a case of poor team selection, tactical outsmarting or poor in game management it was just a group of players who wanted to have a lazy day at work. They get paid way too much to just have a lazy day at work and blame the boss for what?
I’m not saying he is deliberately saying yeah boys take it easy this ones in the bag, but whatever he is saying is not getting through and is either too nonchalant or the players don’t give a stuff and do their own thing. Given how highly he is spoken of, I strongly doubt it’s the latter.
There is off nights but if the club hadn’t tossed up tripe like this for the last 3 or 4 seasons you could use that excuse. The excuses are done.

Absolutely no need to have Keary play #6 and Captain the side. The entire week he was up in the Blue Mountains training with the Blues side and only returned to the line up last night. Robbo is stupid for handing him the reigns and add to that the other distraction call of Teddy going into the Blues camp and Manu switching to Fullback. Sandon should've played in the halves with Walker and if Keary was to return to the side then make the call and start him as the utility on the bench. Radley could've Captained the side.
Overall we underestimated NQ today and we thought we still had enough fire-power/star power on paper to cruise to an easy victory. We got what we bloody deserved. Our bloody forwards were non-existent even more when JWH went off with a hamstring issue. All the players looked gassed, unfit and lazy. Another clunky line up by Robbo and the staff.
We should've bloody won this game and sit nicely in the top 4.Last edited by DP1990; 06-02-2024, 07:14 PM.

Too good the Cowboys....five ruffies saluted this week.
Thought we were in control until the sinbin when they outscored us 8 nil. Our right side dee exposed again. Sammy did some great things esp in the 1st half but two defensive misses led to tries. Although cant really blame him for the 2nd against a behemoth.
Couple of times we had our wingers in space and just didn't use them. Its not rocket surgery...even Joey sometimes wish he would just stand and draw.
Plus side May was huge, and Whyte very strong too. Glad to see young Steep get some decent game time too. Great scenes at the end embracing his family. Losing JWH hurt though, on top of our other forward absentees. Liking Paugas work too, he has come on well.
Robbo needs to review where we went wrong today. Still time and opportunity for us to make a good home run.#We Stand with ourJewish community#
