Great re-signing and well deserved. We certainly need some backline depth moving forward.

Wouldn't disappoint me if he did. Manu and Sua'ali'i are guns but I reckon Pauga's done enough to show that he deserves a chance...

Yeah the length of the deal is interesting considering his age. Good re-signing though, he's a very competent backup.

Good re-signing. Solid player and he's becoming better every time he plays with the FG side.

I bet he's gonna have a blinder against Parra on Saturday night.

Good on him. Hope he plays regular first grade at a high level for a couple of more years.

We can't rely on Smith or Toia - these 2 can catch a cold in the desert.

I think our 3, 4 and 6 will be interesting in 2025. Could be a dogs breakfast.

              We must WIN this year.

He will probably be our star centre next year.
                Both Joeys going

Who have we got that will be fit and reliable , I worry for next year.
After paying good money to sit through the cowboys game , I'm also worried about this year.....

Given the clubs future investment in JP, can they work on getting him early ball in space?

I think he has the best footwork in club and would revel down short sides particularly, opening up big Tupou to stride away. C’mon Keary, study that first Queensland try. TFE

He's been handy that's for sure. But if he's a regular starter next year it doesn't say a great deal about our depth in the outside backs.

Hope he and Young do plenty of bomb catching practice in the offseason.

Toia must be due back soon? Not holding my breath about Billy Smith either.

The Sydney Roosters rehabilitation group has been assessed following the Club’s first bye in Round 14.

Egan Butcher has successfully undergone ACL surgery, and following a review with the surgeon, is expected to commence with an uncomplicated rehabilitation, with an approximate return to the field in April, 2025.

Billy Smith has recommenced early running following significant damage to joint cartilage in his ankle. There is no set timeframe for this specific injury, as the
rehabilitation will be concentrated on healing and function.

Following non-surgical rehabilitation, Lewis Murphy will have a plaster removed following a scaphoid fracture before going into a splint. He will resume full-time training, with an aim to return to the field in the coming weeks.

Robert Toia has progressed well with his ACL rehabilitation, prior to reaching nine months post-surgery. The Club is taking a cautious approach to his return to play, undergoing modified training, with a chance to take the field before the conclusion of the 2024 season.

Salesi Foketi has made a successful rehabilitation following nine weeks post-MCL reconstruction, and has been named to return in the NSW Cup side for this weekend's match against Parramatta.

Ethan Roberts is in the mid-stage of return from syndesmosis, having commenced running, and will recommence full training next week.

There are no other injury concerns for the other players in the NRL

So there's a possibility that Billy Smith won't play this season. FMD.
