It would be fantastic to see Billy play any football at the back end of the season and try to work his way back to first grade next year.

If he had a food few weeks of footy into him it's definitely an interesting scenario.

      I was always of the opinion and still believe our best three-quarter line is;

      2. Tupou
      3. Smith
      4. Manu
      5. Suaalii

Young needs to be there for me. He's pace is something we have lacked, not just in attack but as cover defence and shutting down potential tries.

I like Suaalii more for his carries in yardage. Young has improved but he's definitely a target for the more aggressive defensive sides when he carries and when he gets dominated it makes the next carry even harder which is 2 plays wasted each set.

Just can't afford that against sides like Melbourne and Penrith who base their games about making you work it out of your own end all game.

I also think Suaalii is more assured defensively and more competent under the high ball.

I still see Young really excelling after another year under our coaching staff but think there's too many flaws there right now that are not conducive to high pressure finals footy.

He'd be better off representing Australia at the Olympics in breakdancing!

1985: 1 try vs Parramatta, 1 try vs Manly, 1 try vs Wests, 2 tries vs Souffs
1986: 2 tries vs Illawarra, 1 try vs Balmain, 2 tries vs Norths.

I've had enough of Billy. He's like the girl that always strings you along but nothing ever comes of it.

I agree with that. Suaalii is a gun winger. Not as fast as Dom but better in other areas.

defence and young are two words that don’t go together

                    Maybe you’re not his type?

Agreed, in finals footy he'll make SKD look like Laurie Daley.

I agree with the assessment and this option. We lose some X factor but improve defence, high ball cover and yardage significantly.

i thought suaalii looked like a genuine origin centre last game. sure if billy kills it, or if we have an injury, then put him in firsts but our current 3/4s look alright. young has a few mistakes in him but there's a big plus side

                            Tough one to work out
Suaali would have better carries into contact but his defence is also very suspect and his lack of pace would really hurt us in attack and defence trying to cover the wing
young brings more pace to break the line, tackle breaks and try scoring ability like the fox can score from nothing while hit ups is all Suaali brings
actually a little disappointed with all the hype around Suaali that he has such a limited upside

Emphasis on 'cover'. Whenever teams would break our line it'd often result in a try. Dom has the pace to reel them in and shut it down, it's already happened multiple times this year where he has stopped tries and I wouldn't be surprised to see it in a finals game.

I don't disagree, I do prefer Suualli playing wing over centre and I know Young has deficiencies but I just love his speed. No substitute to it. Give him space and shut the gate. No one else offers that in our team.

Good problem to have and realistically Billy won't be putting pressure on either of them because of his injuries.
