I thinks we need to go shopping! There's $3.5 mill that should help bolster our squad.

Not sure there's much on the shelves.

I think if we looked at what our strongest backline was before round 1 this year , Teddy/Toops/B Smith/ Manu/ Young we are only losing one from that line up.

So that means we need to replace Manu, we have Pauga, Toia, Marky Mark Ethan King to do this. If you discount Billy Smith because he is always injured I think Pauga has shown he is more than capable of a starting centre role. So that would leave you Billy Smith, Toia and Marky Mark and Ethan King as the other option.

You can not give Toia, Billy Smith or Marky Mark experience this year due to injury or not playing our sport yet so the only option is Ethan King

Can you spend cap money on your football departments running cost? Surely the Tigers 30 man squad isn't worth anywhere near $11,550,000

            who else ?
we need 2 centres for next year, let’s give some young blokes a chance.
best time of the year to give them a go.

We should also rest Joey Manu and keep him fit for finals.
            Rest Joey...FFS

He can have a rest when he gets to Union.

Need to do a switcherooney with the Titans. Give us Verills and Brian Kelly for Brandon Smith. Really like the looks of Brian Kelly fast, tough and always having a dig.

Scarcer than bog roll during the COVID-19 lockdown.

                  Junior Pauga
                  Billy Smith

I think the re-signing or Topou was a big as he brings experience and respect from the young boys

it’s almost impossible to replace Manu , otherwise I think we are strong backline for next year.

hopefully for 2026 we can sign Cobbo
Surely you mean the list you compiled is a terrible take.
Smith should never enter any conversation, be listed as an option or even thought of as he’s the most unreliable, fragile player to ever play the game. If we get a single game out of him in a season we have succeeded & can count that as a win. If he makes the 50 game milestone of 1st grade games for the club I’ll be astounded.
Toia- injured & never played 1st grade.
                  King- Never played 1st grade
Marky Mark- Rugga player so will take him a while to find his feet, get use to the speed & the fact that he may actually have to touch the ball during a game.
Psiga to me is purely depth when at least 2 or 3 quality backs are already unavailable.
If next year we line up with Teddy, Toops,Marky M, Toia & Smith is rank that as a bottom 4 group in the comp.

Unfortunately for him just after signing with the Roosters he did his ACL so that put him behind the 8 ball from the get go - missed round 7 with a hammy and has been out since round 9 with the scaphoid fracture
Just another crap average Pommie outside back. You get 1 good one out of every 20 that try.

There's not even 50 NRL games at centre between the 5 you just named.

Centre is one of the hardest positions to defend in the modern day game. Good decision making requires experience.

I don't think it's a terrible take at all to suggest centres will be an issue next year

NRL Clubs are required to spend at least 97.5% of their salary cap each season.

2026 Mulitalo, Cobbo and Staggs hit the shelves. If we could get at least one of those, huge recruit

                              Tough one for centres
we are a little thin next year for experience unless Manu returns mid season next year
or we wait and see if someone tries to escape a contract or any more than that rugby guys are looking at a change
billy smith if he can get any luck is a gun so it’s honestly down to the footy gods with him
toia could be anything but again needs luck with injuries
I think mark N will kill it he hits like suaali but also has more nous with breaking tackles and running through gaps and not just a direct run like Suaali - the fact he dominated against the all blacks, springboks gives me confidence he will easily find contact on league fine and with toops and young I think he will fill one spot to start with b smith the other providing he is fit

lets also remember although Manu is leaving and an amazing player he can go missing at times and defence questionable to its a positon we can fill

I'm certain I've seen an interview of his where he said he'd signed for 2 years.
