- Jeral Skelton, 25yo Rugby Union convert. Been at the Dogs for a couple of years and been given a few opportunities but just doesn’t seem to be ticking enough boxes for them. No problem with his attack, he’s massive, very hard to tackle, good aggressive ball carrier and has workrate in attack. Just lacks on the defensive side.
- Kayal Iro, 24yo late bloomer was almost off to the super league this year but got his opportunity at the Sharks and has been a real consistent performer. Not great attacking output but works really hard in yardage and solid defender.
- Enari Tuala, 25yo with just over 100 games of NRL experience, 63 of those in the centres. Probably the nicest mover of the 3 mentioned but just never really seemed to kick on at centre. Knights have converted him into a winger but I still think centre is his best spot and with some smart coaching could be a good first grade option at centre. He would probably be my pick of the 3.
One player I haven’t seen a lot of to make a definitive comment on but like what I have seen so far is Josiah Kerapani who’s up at the Broncos right now. Still 22yo and looked really classy in his few games for the Broncos so far, off contract at the end of the year with no clear path to first grade at the Broncos. Might be worth a shot.
