The club is offering a top 30 contract before June 30. Great move & it will give him a couple of months around the squad to train, learn as much as possible & to get exposure at NSW Cup level for remainder of the season. Gives him a solid prep & then a good pre season prior to 25. In saying that we are going to offer him a spot, but the Olympics may get in the way of that.
Also Manu confirmed it’s highly unlikely he’ll return in 25 as he wants to be the best he can & wants to learn more. I’d be surprised if he ever returned to be honest, but if so I think he will give Union a good couple of seasons to make a fist of it.

Good move by the club regarding Marky Mark. He’s got a new game to learn at an elite level. Will be interesting to see how quick he can pick it up.

We need to give him a nickname that's easy to pronounce.

I’m assuming you mean Manu, not May? I couldn’t bear another star going to Rugby.

Unless he specifically wants to play in the sevens why would the Olympics get in the way?

He already has the nickname Mark Mark. Maybe we could call him MM.

He played Rugby League as a kid up until he was 14, so not completely unknown to him.

Ahh ok. Might be a quick transition then! Fingers crossed!

By the looks of it making the 7's team for the Olympics will be his priority
