Side note, is there a reason why the bloke's been named after a catholic school in the shire?

Was a shame Tait seemed to be carrying a hip injury all game, didn't look right from the moment he took that intercept.

When they showed Loko's Jersey from behind I thought Pasifiki Tonga was the sponsor - nope it's his surname

              Loko Jnr Pasifiki Tonga

More likely named after the guy who the schools are named after. Saint Jean-Baptiste de La Salle is the patron saint of all teachers of youth ... hence the schools (which are everywhere, not just the Shire).

There is also a Saint Francis Xavier, which I assume explains his brothers name.

Was really impressed with Jake Elliott as well. Played good eyes up footy and wasn’t afraid to actually attempt to make some plays from nothing

Once the boys settled down I found it to be an engrossing game of football. These guys are 19 or under and gee they run and hit hard. The two fullbacks look like future stars. More enjoyable than the sanitised origin next Wednesday.

Easy to feel confident that the culture of our club, and the development young Va'a and all those kids would be getting, would be A-Grade. Imagine a young prop being around Jared and seeing how he goes about things. Va'a studies biomedical science as well.

PVL of the Chookpen is a Va'a himself, or at least a close relation. He can give the good oil.
