Pearce was ok, did some nice things and a few crap things. One thing is you can never question his effort he never has anything left to give.

I had the exact same thought.
I thought it was a very even game. Reminded me very much of a Roosters game. NSW had lots of quality ball but couldn't convert it to points. Lots of bombs into the corner! A 5/8 who played crap. The oppositon (QLD) got all the 50/50 calls and diabolical video ref decisions in their favour!
Luckily NSW losing and being ripped off by the refs doesn't hurt as much as when it happens to the chooks.

Brett Stewart was no where to be seen in cover when he should have been right by Uate to hold Boyd out twice, if he had been, together they would've bundled Boyd out, he went missing in defence, sure Uate was outnumbered 2 on 1 because he had come in, but if the inside backs had done their job & Stewart does his, then they are both no tries, basically what QLD did to us every time we threatened down the line, sliding & supporting!!!
