  • Another cricket score penalty count against us

13-8 penalty/6A count against us even though we clearly dominated.

    Plus another send off.

Well done on the win, but the NRL agenda will stop us taking out another premiership ever again.

It’s the double standard in the same game that’s really hard to swallow.

Matt Burton came through on the kick chase, missed the ball and hit Dom Young high. Wasn’t forceful contact so ref said play on.

JWH came through on a kick chase, missed the ball and hit Connor Tracey high, was even less force in this one but it was a penalty?

Same ref, same game. That’s when it becomes hard to swallow. It was hard to track Grant Atkins policing on a number of categories such as this all game, especially in the ruck where Mahoney, Turpin and Curran were getting away with absolute murder.

I thought the hit on Young was forceful. A joke that is wasn’t a penalty.

I will give the Dogs credit. There were 3 or 4 things that happened like the Walker slap coat hanger and JWH fairy touch on the fullback that other clubs like Parra and Canberra would still be rolling around like Neymar to turn into bins

Great effort by the team only 8points scored against us with a 84% completion rate and the double figure penalty count against.
A clear pattern a error then a penalty against or a six again.
its so bloody contrived , even the fine system to bite us late season with players suspended all part of an engineered tv competition.
Today players put on report, sin binning and even a send off for Pauga ,who was shoulder charged but no consequence for the offender.
Win or lose there is always negatives of one sided officialdom. Hats off to Trent who usually gets the team to overcome the adversity.

At least we had a good run up until the 70th odd minute, dogs got 8 penalties/6agains in the last 10min.

The high contact on Dom Young was blatant yet crickets from the ref and bunker. Obvious penalty at minimum yet nothing from the ref or bunker
. Does that get missed if the jumpers are reversed? No way FFS.

9 of those penalties and 6 agains were awarded in the last 10 minutes of the game. Gratifying that we held them out in the face of this.

I know. That’s usually the “let’s even it up for Easts after we’ve hammered them for 70 minutes” period!

So true Mickie. Even after a win some just want to have a whinge.

We haven't won a penalty count since round 5.

Get that but it's still a good discussion. We've won 2 penalty counts all season. Out of 15 games played.

I was steeling myself to write a complimentary review of the ref. That was at the 70 minute mark!

The bloke fair dinkum tried to stitch us up in the late stages of the game. I'm glad others saw what I saw.
