What about Toups and Sitili? The deal with Fifita and Gagai falls through then we expect players to feel ok? Especially Toups a rooster legend. Only getting another year because Gagai turned us down? As far as I can remember Toups is the greatest rooster try scorer of all time. Who’s Gagai? Is this how the club repays loyalty? Toups should have just walked out but he’s humble and decent. The club doesn’t deserve that kind of loyalty if that’s the way they treat him.

Gagai plays right-side, we are losing two right-side backs in Manu and Suaalii, and you think Gagai was being chased to get rid of left-side Tupou?

Sitili is only a legend in the minds of a few fans on this forum. With so many good young forwards coming through, Sitili is now surplus to requirements. We can't keep them all.

I saw an article on Toops last night. He was saying he’s looking forward to playing another year and his manager is working on the details. He was full of love for the club and Robbo, so no way was he bothered about the offer to Gagai. The offer to Gagai would not have been to replace Toops as claimed by lazy ‘journos’ but to replace the two Joe’s.

Still a good winger losing a bit of pace but still great in the air good for another year I reckon

And if it’s correct that Sitilli has now said he will wait & base his future on what Angus does makes it even worse. Fact is Angus was a joke last year & we carried him, the year before he was average too, yet he won’t sign, doesn’t know if he wants to be here or in Union so then we cover our own backs & try to build a list, then he cries about it. If he had signed we wouldn’t have chased Fifita. Now he still won’t sign after sulking about Fifita & looks like Sitilli may leave if we keep Angus. Club always comes 1st, I’d tell Angus he has to June 30 & if not signed then piss off you 4 fingered muppet. We must secure our roster & only look after ourselves, not single blokes that are only in it for the biggest pay day. It’s no coincidence that he also only ever performs on a contract year either.

Angus and Latrell looked good together, I’d be worried he will end up at Souths again, but they have bought Aitken, so might be no room there now, only option is to get Latrell back to us in the Centers & they can hook up there again

Gus is like that girl at school who you have a thing for, but she flirts with all the other guys and only decides she wants you when you decide to move on and start to show an interest in somebody else.

Let's get 2 Crichtons. Both Gus and Stephen are top shelf.

Manly have emerged as a strong contender for Roosters back-rower Sitili Tupouniua who has been given permission to talk with rival clubs despite three years left on his deal.

It is understood the Sea Eagles have met with the 27-year-old who is expected to leave the Roosters at the end of the season.

Canterbury and the Dolphins are the other clubs in the mix. Despite reports this week that Tupouniua had already agreed to join the Bulldogs it is understood that a deal is far from done.

The Bulldogs however are still well in the hunt to land Tupouniua although the Sea Eagles’ are also circling.

Tupouniua has been told by the Roosters that he is free to leave the club with the Roosters close to re-signing NSW back-rower Angus Crichton for the next two seasons.

The Roosters’ log-jam of forwards means Tupouniua has been reluctantly squeezed out of the club. Manly have some cash available given their decision to cut ties with Josh Schuster who was taking up $800,000 of their salary cap.

While Ben Trbojevic has done a strong job in the matches he has started this season the potential of having Tupouniua and Haumole Olakau’atu on either edges looms as a mouth watering prospect for the Sea Eagles.

Manly have lost Jamie Humphreys (South Sydney) and Karl Lawton (Cowboys) for next season but largely have their roster intact.
