Interesting stat.. we only used 4 of our 8 interchanges and all of them in the first half.

In the 2nd half when Whyte came on for Collins and May on for Spencer they were deemed 'free' interchanges.. never heard of these before, can anyone shed some light?

Bit surprised Gussy didn't get a spell (with Butcher moving to an his edge) , but with the Manu injury and big JWH being kept fresh for his big milestone game next week its understandable.

Good stat no didn’t know that but potentially with the api sin bin for fowl play you can take a player off for a free interchange? Didn’t know that was a rule though
Yes I thought that too that Gus would get the 2nd half off but maybe manu injury stopped that
If all goes well next week and we are up but a good amount he may get time off v the dragons

When a player is placed on report the opposition can use a free sub, e.g Collins spear tackled and Korisau was put on report so we could bring Collins off as a free sub.

Not sure why May on for Spencer would’ve been a free sub though…

Solid for 70 mins then put the cue in the rack. We did get the benefit of the two bins. I thought the pack was collectively strong, Watson is a gun and Stili played soundly in an unfamiliar role. Both wingers and Teddy very good.

Theres no better 1,6 and 7 in the game at present than ours. Allowing other clubs have injuries of course. Our lads are playing off strong middles and flankers but they are doing a great job. And the fact that two of them are our elder statesmen is a thing of pride.

I figured that was the case but then couldn't make sense of the May & Spencer one..

Looks like Jenko will be back next week. Hopefully Manu is only 3-4 weeks and our backline will start rebuilding itself over the next month.

A “free” interchange is permitted if a player is fouled and injured by a player who is dismissed from the field, sin binned or placed on report. it applies only when the injured player is immediately replaced.

Not sure if they were "injured" though- Obviously Teams exploit the rule and bring a player off who was fouled under those circumstances

2024 - 4th - 10 wins - 6 losses and 1 bye - 22 points - 480 for and 285 against

Hard to say what comp points are required to finish top 4 in 2024 - 34 / 36 / 38 ?

Great half of footy by the boys. 2nd week in a row we are traversing a wet track and "should win" game really well.

Nothing to add but...more of the same!

Mate 2 weeks ago I was panicking about our efforts in the wet and now we look like world beaters..
