Why is Gordon Tallis not sued

Lets put it into perspective, the buffoon Tallis thinks the Titans will win a premiership in 3 years with a second rate roster thanks to a weak front office. Its easier to say " hey we cant compete because the Roosters are cheating" rather than the truth "The Titans management couldn't run a lemonade stand".

Well we can sit back and watch Des Hasler do what he did to the Dogs and Sea Eagles, ruin the joint and get a golden handshake.

Gold Coast are such a joke of a club. They’ve been absolutely rubbish under about 5 different rebrandings over close to 4 decades.

Off the top of my head they’ve made the finals 4 times in nearly 30 seasons. And the most recent of those (2021) should barely count given it’s the worst finals record (10-14) to ever get in.

As another poster said on this thread, you would think the NRL would take a dim view of and sanction repeated public comments by a media person stating a club is cheating, and by extension the NRL themselves are guilty of allowing it to happen.

The reality is they don't mind it at all, as everyone hates us, people love hearing and reading negative stories about us and therefore more money is made by the NRL media partners and the NRL themselves.

Clickbait revenue.

What is morally right or wrong is irrelevant to the likes of PVL and his cronies.

It's actually quite alarming. I wouldn't let it bother you, but he really does have a very genuine and clear dislike for our club. Seems to have a massive chip on his shoulder about us, and has a dig whenever he can. Since the Fifita deal, he has gotten progressively worse as well. Interesting.

I don't agree that it should be ignored by the NRL either. It's extremely unprofessional to be essentially accusing a team of cheating in the NRL (without evidence), and also claiming that the NRL is so incompotent that the Roosters manage to do this without being caught for years on end. It looks woefully amatuer.

Disagree. Tallis isn't the whole show. Also, I can accept others having different opinions but with Tallis it doesn't even come down to a different opinion. It's simply blind hatred and a lack of logic when he's discussing the Roosters. In the same show he was implying we were cheating the cap by offering Townsend less money than he's on now, comparing him (a player who's never played rep footy at the senior level) to DCE (an Australian rep and QLD capt), the subject of Lomax going to Parra for less money was also raised and he didn't have a word to say. So where is the consistency and logic in his opinion? There is none, because it is blinded by hatred. I didn't agree with everything Kent said or Hooper or Buzz says, but at least they back their opinions with actual facts and don't have an agenda against a specific club. Also the fact is some players do take less money to go elsewhere and not just at the Roosters, but he lets his blind hatred affect his 'opinion'. Why no mention of losing Manu, JWH, Keary, Su and now Sitili? Why the implication that we are cheating the cap when we don't even have a reason to, given the players about to leave? I don't expect any of the panelists to treat the Roosters like they are fanboys but they should not be allowed to get away with blatant defamation saying X club is cheating the cap. I also should be able to give my opinion on Tallis's opinions without being told to just stop watching.

He attempts to avoid responsibility for his comments by constantly making up BS excuses. "I don't know the rules. I'm just repeating what the average Joe thinks about the Roosters salary cap. You tell me how they have such a strong roster every year. How do they do it"
