half our team always seem to be suspended, playing SOO, or injured.
we need as many top shelf players as we can afford.

The Va'a brothers are years away.

This week Sitili is playing right centre.
    Lucky we still have him.

Sitili has a contract with us.
I hope he says "I love it here and will be staying".
"I was promised that I would be here for a few more years and that's what I want."

I honestly can't believe the uproar about this rumoured signing..

There is a lack of halves around, especially this late for next year and experienced ones have shown they are worth their weight in gold.

He wouldn't be coming on bugger all dollars and will find himself as a depth player with Sandon & Sammy steering the NRL team around but if one if them goes down (remember our luck with injuries, it's bound to happen) we have a experienced playmaker who has won a comp and just steered his team to a W against the riff.

The club can't win sometimes. Don't sign anyone and Sammy goes down then we all would've wished we had am experienced half to partner Sandon. And if not Chad, then who? Curious to hear other candidates.

Good depth signing. We can’t go into next season with just Sandon and Sammy. Sandon is not yet proven as a consistent NRL player. Townsend won’t have cost much and he does organise a team well and kick well. Plus he’ll be super motivated after finally landing a job at a real footy club.

Exactly my thoughts, not a big fan of his but think this is a smart move but the club

And I think he said that Sandon Smith would play 6 in 2025.

Please don't play the fans as mugs. I will admit, the coach never mentions the fans.

            Anyway.
Not a massive fan but sitili was always going anyway befor Fifita
he can’t get in our 17 this year and won’t be next year
and if he is on the $600k they are saying best for the chooks to move him on and he’s this money for a top player and not a depth player

Apparently every single Cowboys fan will help Chad pack his backs. Can't wait.

Agree and for $300k that’s f all really tbh in todays game we would get him for unders compared to other teams
the average salary is closing on $500k so we aren’t loosing anything whether he plays 6 all year or nsw cup
and with Watson playing at 13 sandon smith may fit the 14 for 2025

I couldn't believe it when they said he would be on around 300k......that should be a massive yes from everyone at that price !!!

He would walk in from round 1 and do a good job, just depends what sort of team they put around him

If you don’t understand this signing, just look how quickly Parramatta fell off a cliff once Moses was injured ..

You need depth, especially in your halves .

He's agile, could play any position, at a pinch.
He's ripe for a good coach to do great things with, that's why Bellamy wants him.

                        So he'll be playing 5/8?

Very clever signing by the club!

As many have said we need depth in the halves due to Keary retiring, welcome Chad!

Looking good, Walker and Townsend in the halves, Watson at Lock with Smith as bench utility….Pity we didn’t chase Lomax for a Centre position.

I love this, not only from the points others have mentioned but playing in reserves he’ll help boost the confidence of our young crop coming through. $300k?! Get on down here Chad

I'm okay with Chad as a depth player on $300k.

The bigger question is as its only a one year deal, what does Uncle Nick have up his sleeve for 2026?
