    ROOSTERS SQUAD v SAINTS

    Round 18 - Sunday 7th Jul7, 2:00pm
    Allianz Stadium, Sydney

This week is all about Jared Waerea-Hargreaves. Jazz becomes the most capped Rooster of all time on Sunday, surpassing Aubbo's record of 306 games. What can you say about a guy who has played over 300 games at NRL level in the middle. His toughness, aggression and leadership have been invaluable. He is almost irriplacable in my opinion. Regardless of how well Lindsay, Terrel & Spencer play next year, there WILL be something missing from our pack. No one can replace the aura that Jazz brings, and the raw intimidation factor that keeps the opposition looking out for him.

Edit: Some more about Jazz. I have serious man-love for this bloke. He has been the cornerstone of the Roosters' forward pack for more than a decade. This guy doesn't just play footy; he dominates it. With every bone-crunching tackle and powerful run, he commands respect from opponents and admiration from fans. His ability to turn the tide of a game with sheer physicality is nothing short of awe-inspiring. He's the kind of player who makes everyone around him better, not just through his on-field actions but through his relentless work ethic and unwavering passion. Jazz isn't just a player; he's a force of nature and an absolute legend of the Roosters, and the game. We are really going to miss his presence in '25.

A great result last week, with a continuation of our domination over the Tigpies. The only downer being the last minute try, and of course the injury to Manu. At least the news on that is not too bad, 4 weeks is a loss but it could have been the season.

Robbo's had a peek in the centers cupboard, and it's bare. Tupouniua keeps a center spot, but moves to the right. Jenko in at left center. The rest of the team is as expected.

So, that's 116 consecutive games without our best 17.

Saints have improved markedly since we put 60 on them on Anzac Day. They'll be up to try to make amends for that, but we have an ominous look about us, and I reckon we'll still win this one comfortably .. especially at home.

    Roosters by 14.

    4. Tupouniua 5. Young - reading this created uncontrolled shivers of defensive terror. It could be horrendous. Look for Hunt to hunt for those 2 hair-friends all day. Whoever is on the inside has a MASSIVE job.
Any chance Cords could lace-em-up one last time

Manly put 30 on them less than a fortnight ago. The Bulldogs clocked 40+ on them back in May. The Roosters put 60 on them in April.

They beat a Dolphins team without their two best forwards and after losing their strike hooker. And even then they only scored 26.

The Fubster Mk2 and Murder on the Dance Floor (but not the bedroom!!!!) are their only truly dangerous players. And De Belin is only dangerous if you let him break the interchange rule.

I normally wouldn't say this but I think a wet track would suit us. Very good the last 2 weeks in the rain

          Should win strongly.

Just hope the Sitilli ' experiment / risk ' doesn't back fire this week. The Dragons are a better team than the Tigers. Also like to see Whyte start EVERY game - it is time.

            Good preview Waylander.

My biggest concerns are Sitilli and Jennings.
1985: 1 try vs Parramatta, 1 try vs Manly, 1 try vs Wests, 2 tries vs Souffs
1986: 2 tries vs Illawarra, 1 try vs Balmain, 2 tries vs Norths.

Yes the centre options aren’t great but the cupboard is almost bare.

our forwards are better and should get the job done. They are probably still got nightmares over Walkers boot. It won’t be 60 this time around but we should get the 2 pts

Reckon we should blood Ethan King. No better opportunity to throw him in and see what he’s got.

win lose or draw this week we’ll still be in the top 4

                  Expected side
our forwards should have enough and our halves are clicking at the right time with Brandon smith, Keary and walker gelling
despite having weaker centres tbh Suli and tuipulotu are slow so any chance we have to get young on the outside we will take
hopefully the boys are up for this so we can go into the bye with a good win and not expect it just to happen
And want to win for jwh to get the chooks record
wouldn’t be surprised to see king a late swap maybe for Jenko to keep his debut under the radar

Massive congrats to the big JWH. What a record. And what a forward. Looking to get to the game with my little Roosters.

What’s up with Whyte being put back to bench for reduced minutes when he’s been absolutely dominating?

My biggest concern is we have Ashley Clown as the ref we never end up on the right side of the calls with this goose
