  • attack is really humming. d is pretty good despite the soft first try and sitili not trusting sam to make his tackle in the second. all up we're looking alright at this stage.
at 14 12 it was game on but good to see the boys finish strongly.
hope jwh moves into coaching when he retires - don't want to waste what he's got

He was much better in previous years. BUT……Robbo will keep picking him based on loyalty alone.
This is not a beat on Nat post and I generally thought we were excellent today closely followed by Clown who really went the whole 80 against us. But those 5th tackle carries by Nat were sooooooo ineffective and I was thinking what am I missing with this guy that has him be in top 17.

      Anyway was a great afternoon!!!

That’s true and can’t wait for Melbourne. Our line speed and defence in general has really picked up though and we aren’t turning over cheap ball much either. We heading in the right direction with a real indication in a couple of weeks

No we don't. Another example of penalising for tackling too hard. Big over-reaction by the officials.

Yep. We're ready to be challenged. We actually need it for our growth!

            • Dog Day Arvo super special- gotta love the clubs PR around JWH and the 74 anniversary. The consideration shown by the club to past and present is without parallel. To debut a player on such a momentous occasion says so much about the club and coach.

Firstly, thought Collins and Teddy were among our best. Absolute quality from them every minute. Some of the addtional work Lindsay does is unbelievable.

Dragons milking and lying down continually for the entire game. Can't really blame them as they're simply not good enough to compete with us, and opposition teams obviously know that refs are a bit tougher on us than on other teams.

It would have been an absolute travesty if Klein and the bunker had manufactured a Dragons win. The 6-agains in the first half, with us receiving nada, was hugely damaging and the Dragons were massively outclassed. The score could have been a lot worse for the Dragons. That bunker call where Suli (or whoever it was) wasn't ruled as an obstructor to Sitili, was diabolical. I couldn't believe that. He jumped a full second early and ended up directly underneath Sitili. Not to mention the set before where Sam grabs a Dragons player around the shoulder and gets penalised on the 5th for it. Some of those were astonishingly bad, and looked cynical to keep the Dragons in it.

The Chooks are absolutely the real deal this year, and I don't care what anyone else says about it. I'm pretty sure this game puts us at 100+ F/A better than the next nearest team, which is the Storm. I'm not sure how the game in Melbourne will go after the Bye, but unless we have a freak off-day, I'm really starting to think it's between us and the Panthers (pending injuries). I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw some posters saying we looked flat today... what on Earth game are you watching? If anything, they tried too hard at time. That was a masterclass in physicality.

I'll say it now; if we play the Storm in the finals, we'll win convincingly.

Also, this Leniu guy... actual psychopathy incarnate.

Enjoy the win, everyone. That was stellar.
Some people cant all they can do is whinge about the ref.

                  • Wheres that sad sack that only comes on here when we've had a loss.
You know the one, he wants Robbo sacked & replaced with Bennett.

Smithy has applied for the Eels coaching job. The Eels board are considering his late submission which is slowing things down as he's cheap cheap save money. One last crack at winning a comp.

There's more to footy than just making tackles! He's one of the lucky plodders in the NRL.
                            It's half the game though.

Nat and Egan Butcher will always be in the mix for NRL selection by Coach Robinson.

                            • Roosters fitness is giving them a big edge over most sides this year. It was very noticeable how much the dragons struggled to keep up today. They were continually bunched and struggling to keep any shape in attack whereas as the roosters were always on the front foot. Really good side this year, looking forward to the next couple of months.

Yes but it's a 101 of the game. I like players that offer more. E.g Victor Radley. Yes he's a tackling machine but he can also ball play.
