If he takes the guilty plea, will he be back to zero points? Rather he gets suspended now, instead of missing a finals game with minimal contact.

Also with two byes in that period no footy for Jared for 5 weeks.
Could this be a blessing in some way ? Comes back fresh for one final charge?
3 games is a terrible decision, it didn't even warrant 10 mins let alone a suspension. All force in the tackle is chest on shoulder contact with his arm wrapping making glancing contact to his head which is minimal at best.

Judiciary records are reset on a rolling 12-month period since the last offence.

Far out penalty at best
3 weeks out presume there must be some loading in this from previous times he has been fined?
annoying as we will need Collins, and Leniu to play big minutes with may and whyte
will be tough v storm
let’s hope he rests up and comes back big after the 3rd bye

Watch the replay a few times...he hit him flush in the side of the head with enough force to make trouble for himself.

Correction of the Grade 1 - High Tackle - Careless 3rd offence - It's 2 matches - Plea of no Contest/ Guilty at Judiciary or $3000 fine for an early guilty plea.
So the Roosters would have to get it down graded from grade 2 to a grade 1 which would be difficult as it judged to be mid range moderate force by the Bunker for the Sin Bin and by the MRC for the Grade 2 High Tackle-Careless Charge.

De Klein is predictable as a ref. Let’s game run its course early on. Easts up 14-0.
then game manages it into a contest14-12
then puts whistle away 42-12
thats why our win ratio is high under him and penalties etc high against us
but I can’t stand how he singles out jwh boo Nat and at least a random each match
allthese fines go to the PVL gaming fund
dont know if we should fight this as it preps Mr Wong who is now a middle, Sitilli and allows Barry Whyte to come back. Not a bad situation to be in.
but Robbo and Uncle Nick need to take the issues above up with the nrl at the highest level. Insist no more de Klein as ref and let jwh play out his career without the ref targetingWritten and published on behalf of the Liberal Party, Queensland

2023 - August 26 vs Tigers - 12 month period up to August 25 2024- Striking Charge grade 2 - early plea - 3 games
- Dangerous Contact grade 2 - unsuccessful at judiciary - 4 games
2024- High Tackle- Careless - Grade 1 - First Offence - Round 7 - Fine
- Dangerous Contact - Grade 1 - 2nd Offence - Round 7 - Fine ( Previous 1st offence from 2023 and within the 12 month period)
- High Tackle- Careless - Grade 1 - 2nd Offence - Round 15 - Fine
- High Tackle - Careless- Grade 2 - 3rd Offence - 4 games if unsuccessful at judiciary or 3 with an early pleas
If JWH takes the early 3 game plea he will be back in round 24 vs Parramatta on August 16 so the 2023 offences are still live and won't expire until round 26 vs Raiders - 1st September- The Titans game is on 25th August which is the last day of the 12 month period where his previous 2023 offences can be taken into account.
All his 2024 charges are still live
A few have mentioned why the JWH penalty is 4 games if unsuccessful at the judiciary or 3 games with the early plea when charged with a grade 2 careless high tackle when it's his first offence under this grade. NRL takes into account previous similar offences irrespective of grade within the 12-month period.
JWH had 2 prior grade 1 careless high tackle charges within the 12 month period so the Grade 2 was his third offence thus the 4 matches if unsuccessful at the judiciary or 3 with the early plea.
I am not sure what happens when a player is charged with a 4th offence under any of the categories in the 12 month period as the NRL judiciary charges and penalties cut out at 3rd offencesOFFENCE GRADE 1ST OFFENCE
(Early plea in brackets)2ND OFFENCE
(Early plea in brackets)3RD OFFENCE
(Early plea in brackets)High Tackle - Careless 1 $1500 ($1000) $2500 ($1800) 2 matches ($3000) 2 2 matches (1) 3 matches (2) 4 matches (3) 3 3 matches (2) 4 matches (3) 5 matches (4)
