he came in off his winger but he was still well outside the centre. It’s no fun having to mark a 2 on 1 but you still need to actually pick someone to mark and force the opposition to hit the open man. Standing in between them made Pap’a job 100% easier as he couldn’t go wrong.

He’s been horrendous this half.

Young is just awful to watch in defence and under the high ball.

Not prioritising this as a must win as I think it’s a bit early to start polishing off teams like Melb, we have room for improvement but seems like we are a lot further away than I thought we were.

We are missing JWH big time; we are being absolutely dominated in the middle. Sitili is awful playing centre, which is making Young make even worse decisions in defence than he normally makes. Jennings would have been a better choice at centre.

And I’m going to reserve my usual Sitili bashing given he’s doing his best and out of his depth defending in the centres. It’s on Robbo for that sort of decision to play him over a specialist centre. I must ask what does he see that we don’t that would make him think Sitili is a capable defender in the centres when he is a liability one position in at second row. Jenko is there, King is there.

Nope, we’ve lost 9 in a row against Riff and beat Melb once in the last 10 during that miracle run we made in 2022 to make finals. Pretty grim reading.
