the girls showed a lot of heart to get back into the game. attack a bit clunky but even so we could have scored a few tries in the first half if not for great knights defence. a loss is never good but you'd figure we've got a lot more points in us and losing to the premiers by a goal kick on their home ground says we can win the thing.
interestingly strangey said that baxter had been training at 6 in the off season so fressard at 1 must have been the plan. fressard was great but you'd figure bremner will be a step up. kelly was very strong but her strength is as a ball runner - can bremner play 6, a straight swap for baxter? nasio did great, hard to believe it was her first game. we made metres easily and our forwards did well. aiken showed her class and kelleher gave good service when she played dh. we could have done better in stopping their two tries.
