Mark played some minutes and looked okay - not sure why he is not starting
Wondering though how the Argentine second try was awarded a try - tackled short with the ball touching the ground and reached out and planted the ball over the try line - In League that would be ruled a double movement - The defender still had hold of the Argentine players legs

Marky will be wasted on the wing. Surely plays centre. Just needs to work on his defence.

That Corey Toole can certainly motor. If you didn't watch any of the earlier pool games, he scored a blistering try against Kenya. Go to 1:23:

He was only ever planned to be used as an X factor off the bench. Both he and Toole were added at the end of their Super Rugby commitments, and were not part of the ongoing Australian 7's set up. Both are solely being used as impact players.Last edited by Waylander; 07-26-2024, 11:25 AM.

Double movement in rugby union explained
The sanction for non-compliance here is a penalty against you – so if we consider that a player is tackled as they attempt to score a try, fall short but make a second movement towards the line and thus fail to “move away from the ball” as they get up, not only is the score chopped off but the opposition gain possession.

A double movement occurs when players propel themselves forward on the ground to reach the line. This is a second movement and is not allowed.

He's fairly tall, with muscular upper body.
ie; he's not short and skinny.
Seems to have potential to be good for us, if he adapts quickly...in a reasonable length of time...can't wait forever.Last edited by bondi.boy; 07-29-2024, 08:25 PM.
