apart from that a lot of defending and some senior players have to look in the mirror and hopefully get some ego checks from robbo and their team mates this week

Felt deflated after the win last night. Felt more like a loss tbh, so I held back any rants and thought I'd re-watch the first 20mins this morning to cheer myself up but it did the reverse. Suualli threw an intercept in the first 3 minutes!!

Had we of learnt from this we could've saved ourselves from conceding 3 soft tries. And don't get me started on the dummy half try. We have to be the worst team at leaking these, and it still hasn't been addressed. It's actually a joke. We lost the last 60mins 30-12!! That's awful.

Also add Robbo to my list of people (with Kez after last night) that need slapping and to wake up to themself after his comments in the presser about it being a 'good game'.

To the impartial fan, it could've been seen as a 'good game', it sure had some good tries scored, and wasn't boring.

I agree with alot of what you are saying however take those 3 intercepts out and the result in the last 60mins was 12-12. Not bad considering Manly had 59% of the ball. We didn't allow DCE, an origin half, to create anything. The final score is flattering for them. The positive I've taken out is that our defence was in the 2nd half won us the game.

A positive to come out of the game was Sammy Walker's performance.. He was a shining light as compared to what was embarrassing from Keary. Sadly neither he nor Teddy have the correct decision making when it comes to passing in high risk situations and gifted them 3 tries. Manly are the kings of intercepts especially with Cherry Evans in the side yet you'd think our most experienced players would've erred on the side of caution and avoided their high risk passing game in attack when we had the game in the bag.

That's just not true Salvo .Yes winning is the ultimate goal but we almost lost that game 2 or 3 times and were just lucky time was on our side or we would have lost it .So many dumb passes and mistakes , giving away penalties ECT .We are 3rd on the ladder which is fantastic but as it stands unless someone else knocks out the two above us in the finals then we are no hope of winning the gf for JWH and sending him out a winner. We only won last night by luck not great football . I'm sure we can win if we stop the rubbish we do and play as a team but until then we are sunk.

My only disappointment was the two soft tries we let in. But after that we pretty much dominated them. Our second half defence was first class considering all the ball they had and a few leg ups. Apart from that 5 minute lapse where they got two intercepts they weren't really in the game. If they need three intercepts to stay in the game and Siebold is proud of their efforts then good luck to them.

Kez was hurting after the game and he will learn from it. Apart from that 5 minutes brain fart he had a good game especially in defence.

People knock Young because of one dropped ball. Did they score from that? Apart from that error he had a good game. His attack was pretty good.

Our ball control in the second half wasn't great but a couple went to ground because of our expansive attack. A better pass from Suaalii to Young and if Jenko catches that ball from Gussy could have led to a couple more exciting tries. I like us playing that way and we will get a couple going wrong. I was ok with Smith kicking on 4th or 5th tackles a couple of times. We were dropping the ball so don't risk it for an extra tackle and play it at their end.

Overall I was happy with the game. We dominated a good team. Turbo, Jurbo, Burbo and Durbo were easily controlled. We will learn from the errors. JWH will help in our defensive lapses and Manu will fix our centre issues.

Special mention to Jennings from me, really good in both attack and defence. Can't believe those older legs have still got some acceleration. I would be happy to see him in our centres for the big finals games, if required.

After recovering from whatever that performance was, overall there was a lot to like. The second half defence was outstanding for the most part, and clearly was better than the soft d in the first half. Our attack was also scintillating. A lot of our guys played great too. Walker ran the ball, Suaalii was great in d and his hitups. Teddy was sublime. Collin’s was immense. Tupou was his consistent best and Jennings turned back the clock. Butcher was great defensively, did a few minor dumb this but overall did his job.

However, my goodness, I cannot believe how dumb this team is. Specifically 2-3 tonight need to pull their heads in. I thought SKD was the most rocks and diamonds player I’d seen. Not so, as Dumb Young this year has taken the mantle. In one year he’s had done more stupid shite than SKD did in his whole career. I cannot comprehend why he doesn’t try and mirror what Tupou is doing, especially when taking hitups. Running sideways is the worst thing you can do when taking a hitup, especially close to the line. And that knock on he did was ridiculous. He also is surprisingly unfit. Dawdled a lot when returning the ball from Manly kicks. I’d drop him if we had the depth. If he doesn’t smart up he’ll cost us in a much more important game, mark my words. I’ll give him some credit in that that last try we scored could only have been due to his speed. He has so much potential but right now he’s squandering it.

Somehow though, there was a dumber player in the side tonight. Luke Keary, Jesus Christ. I am still shocked at how he threw those two intercept passes in the space of 3 minutes. 2 passes that really didn’t need to be pushed. As a senior playmaker, I just cannot wrap my head around him throwing those two passes. Inexcusable.

Also shout out to Brandon Smith for those two stupid kicks.

We had to win this game 3 times. That should never happen. There was a lot of good, and I guess if you remove those two Keary interceptions I’d be a lot more comfortable with the performance. I’m glad we got the two points, I think if we didn’t it would be the end of our season. You can’t come back from something that embarrassing. Hopefully Robbo blows a rocket up their backsides. We need to curb our stupidity fast. We have the squad to win the comp. We just don’t seem to have the brains yet.

Sorry for the carry on/ramble. This game just got to me.

The sad reality is we can't just take away those 3 intercepts and make it sunshine and rainbows in our favour. This team has consistently shown they are capable of imploding, and this trend will not get us far in September if we don't rectify it.
