  • Official Match Day Thread: Roosters v Sea Eagles

It would need to be a great performance tonight and a solid win to help get over the disappointment of last week’s poor showing.

All that unnecessary hype about us after we beat those rubbish sides with the media banging on about how good we are. Well after last week we are just about back to square one. It’s true, we are flat track bullies. The only way to rectify this status is by playing to our potential and occasionally beating the only two decent teams in this competition.

We were terrible against Manly after a great Round 1 performance in Vegas. We need to turn that around tonight. We owe them one.

    Kick-off 735pm.

    GO ROOSTERS!

Unfortunately won’t have a true gauge of where we are @ until we come up against Penrith/Melbourne in the finals. Accumulating wins and securing a top 4 spot is all the team can do. A win tonight makes the weekend easier to enjoy, but does nothing for confidence of premiership hopes.

Loss last week showed we are well behind the top two at least .We have to win against teams like Manly to build some confidence and momentum coming into the finals . Doesn't matter the score just as long as we are in front after the final siren

We’re no chance with stilli in the centres and Connor the starting lock have to see what the actual run on side is I suppose

Time to just take it one week at a time. Last week is done, and listening to the media has never helped a team win a comp. Play what is in front of you. Its a tough one tonight against a high flying team that has won 3 straight, and it will be harder in the rain. Hopefully Jenko comes into the centres.

This will be an important test to prove if we are the real deal this year.

Manly is a good team playing well who have scored a lot of points lately.

At home after another disappointing loss to a real contender with top 4 hopes on the line you would expect a much improved switched on performance.

Everything to play for at this time of year to prove we aren't just making up the numbers in the top 8.

Tough game tonight. Manly are a side that we frequently struggle with. Their recent form is good, but their season has been very average.

I’m hoping for a serious bounce back from us. We need to regain confidence … well, I do anyway.

Yeah rain won’t be an issue. Early showers won’t hurt.

Huge game this. We need to stay in the 4.

                    let’s go boys.

Yeach but I did the form at Randwick for Slow 5 and I missed the price on Green Shadows ffs.

Connor is one of the best locks in the NRL.

Rain is a poor excuse. Both teams play in it.

But a better 14 with lethal impact against tiring defences.

Looking at the weather radar. I’m thinking the rain will have cleared up by kick off
