  • Senior Representative Teamlists

The Sydney Roosters Senior Representative sides have been announced for this weekend’s matches.

The NSW Cup team, following their terrific win on Sunday, has had minimal changes for their clash with Western Suburbs, but Ethan Clark-Wood has been selected to return to the side on the wing, replacing Kyron Fekiota.

The side will not be finalised until an hour before kick-off. It will be the second match between the Roosters and Western Suburbs in the past three weeks.

Five members of the Roosters NRLW squad will line up for the Central Coast Roosters NSW Premiership team on Saturday when they host the Illawarra Steelers at Bateau Bay.

Shannon Rose, Taina Naividi, Tiana Davison, Imogen Hei and Amber Hall will all play for the Roosters as they chase their first win of the season in their Round 5 clash.

Finally, after enjoying a bye weekend the Roosters Jersey Flegg team is back in action on Saturday against the Wests Tigers at Lidcombe.

The Roosters, three points out of the top eight, are probably going to need to win four of their last five matches to qualify for the finals. A win against the seventh placed Tigers would be a major boost to those finals prospects.

Have to wait to 1 hr before kick off in the respective games to know the line ups.

Another big win for the seconds. They seem to have clicked these past two weeks. What's made the difference?

Returns from injury for Toia, McCathie, Foketi, Moriaty & Xavier Va’a over the last month along with the promotions of Elliot, Steep & Tait make it a side stacked with young talent.

They’ve had a good month together now to build some combinations. Getting those games against fellow cellar dwellers no doubt has helped as well but good signs for the rest of the year. Throw Marky Mark in after the bye and they’re going to be a fun side to watch for the rest of the regular season.

A few weeks back NSW Cup were hammered by Wests 44-4 - That makes it a 98 point turnaround

Yes, indeed. And then belted by Souffs 44-24 the following week. So, it is a remarkable turnaround. I think Rooster_6 has hit the nail on the head. It has to be good players coming back, combinations building. Hope they can keep it going.

Blake Steep has been massive the last few weeks - consistently running for 200m+

We have a good one on our hands here....

Jake Elliot is also our best on ground every single week - I wouldn't be surprised to see him start his NRL career in the centres next year

R90 do you reckon he's cut-out to be a centre?
I hope we don't lose him like we did with Savala, because he's behind the likes of Townsend and Sandon Smith next year.

Perhaps they will keep Jake keen and further develop him by training him with the FG squad during the off season.
He may develop nicely and become a good utility off the bench ala Connor Watson.

Certainly got the size for centre, at least height wise. Maybe a couple hamburgers wouldn’t hurt. I mentioned here Sandon probably gets first crack at 5/8 but don’t be surprised if Elliott is breathing down his neck

                            Stats show another good performance
170mtr from 17 hit ups. 60 PCM and 3 tackle breaks with 1 try
topped the Mtrs for the team

I'm anticipating Chad and Sammy will be our starting halves in '25.
Sandon is worthy of wearing 14.
