The Melbourne Storm have granted outside back Reimis Smith an immediate release to pursue an opportunity overseas.
Smith, 27, has fallen down the pecking order at the Storm over the back half of the season, with all of his 12 games coming in the first 14 rounds of the season.
The centre, who was signed from the Bulldogs in 2020, has been incredibly consistent for the Storm, scoring 50 times in 69 games for Craig Bellamy’s side.

In other news Dean "Bulldog" Ritchie said on the wireless this morning that big Stefano from the Tigers was keen to be a Rooster and twice approached us offering his services. Apparently we couldn't fit him in.

He is restless apparently. Thoughts?
I think penrith would be mad not to upgrade him to 800 in all honesty.
Back to Blaze, seems like Penrith are in the box seat to sign him. Is there any rumblings from credible sources that are in the race? Think he would be exactly what we need.

IMO To'o only has another good couple years left in him, teams have already worked him out to a degree. He will also slow down.
I can't think of any representative prop-wingers that have maintained a high level in their 30s. Perrett, Sivo, Mansour. They were barely first grade material at 30.
