Great thread. I hope it keeps going.
It looks like 1908 has gone off for an HIA. Just waiting for 13 to take the field.
Meanwhile tracksuit is warming up on the bike.

        FFS

Have to admit to being gobsmacked when Tago didn't get sent to the bin. I thought Manu's hit was a lot less forceful than Tago's yet somehow he cops 10 mins and the Penrith player doesn't.......

Not an accident. Fits the agenda.

Tago was charged with a Grade 1 - same as Joey, but because it's his 3rd offense he copped a $3K fine.

Will be interesting to see if Annesley comments on this in his weekly review. How can they both be the same grade, yet one is deemed worthy of a sin bin and the other isn't?

One was moderate force and the other was not so moderate.

The media is now taking the NRL to task over this issue:

HIGH TACKLE PUNISHMENT IS A FARCE

The NRL has a massive issue counting down to the big end of season games when it comes to the now farcical lack of consistency of punishment for high tackles.

The perfect case in point was seeing Nelson Asofa-Solomona put on report but escape with a penalty for his high shot on Dragons prop Francis Molo.

Yet Tigers centre Justin Olam was sent off for a similar tackle on Heilum Luki, while Joey Manu was also sin binned for much more minor contact on Hamiso Tabuai-Fidow.

There were also a few incidents in the Panthers/Knights game that were extremely questionable.

Andrew Voss said on Fox League’s commentary after Nelson was allowed to stay on the field this should be a topic of discussion for NRL 360 this week.

No, it should be a topic of discussion for the people in charge refereeing at the NRL to sort out and get some bloody consistency with the punishment.

While I thought Olam’s tackle was definitely worthy of a sin bin, it wasn’t a send off.

But if it was, how in the hell does Nelson escape with just a penalty?

No wonder fans are left questioning if there are rules for some clubs and rules for others.

The Storm are the refs pets. The Nelson incident was no surprise. If Olam was still playing for them, he would not have been sent off.

I watch sharon wood and the expommy bull dog break dow a few penalties from last weeks games. Very informitive show. But they could have gone futher with exposing bias but didnt.

The refereeing is very inconsistent, not just with head highs, not against certain teams it is just all over the place every game, it has made enjoying the NRL as a neutral particularly hard because many great games this season have been interrupted by bad decision making, I don't understand how they get it wrong like this so often because Super League which has a much smaller budget seems to do much better.
