NRL will be loving it, as only the Storm will know where they will finish at the end of the round.
With both Brisbane and Raiders winning, it put both of them in finals contention on 26 points.
The Dragons on 28 can inch closer to postseason finals if they can beat the Sharks on 34-A loss, and they will be battling for 8th spot with the Dolphins/Brisbane and Raiders all on 26 and possibly joined on 26 by the Knights if they beat Souths tonight.
For and against may come into play as well - Brisbane the only team in contention with a plus for and against.
*Dragons 28 minus 92
Brisbane 26 plus 2
Dolphins 26 minus 27
Raiders 26 minus 131
* Knights 24 minus 90
Faaarkin ay... I must live in a bubble sometimes as I'm in Canberra, saw LOTS of happy Raiders fans out cheering today and somehow it didn't connect with me that they'd just beaten the Riff.
Oddly the Sharks also have a better PD than the Riff. It's our faaarkin year if round 1 of the finals is Storm v Penrith and Roosters (home) v Sharks. Can bet Cleary/Bellamy will be whinging for the finals system to br changed AGAIN if that were to happen and they were stuck having to beat each other up in round 1.
My top 8
1 driz
2 roosters. (When we beat titties and faiders
3 riff
4 shire
5 dullbogs
6 cows
7 manly
8 drongos if they beat finns and merge lose
Melb will rest players when they visit qld to play cows and drongos last 2 rounds. More than likely have a bonding camp in the sunny coast
Round 1 finals
Driz v shire
ROOSTERS V riff at home
dogs v drongos
Manly v cows
Billy Slater was saying they will likely send a reggies team to North Queensland and a field a full strength side vs Broncos.
Takes me back to 1997 when Gus rested 10 players for the Roosters last round game against Norths - The NSWRL jumped up and down about that and Gus had to put some of the players back in the team.
Penrith also sent a reggies team to North Queensland as well for a last round game in 2022.

God the cows have been lucky in recent seasons for this.
I reckon that’s 3 years in a row they have had a free win by playing Penrith or Melbourne late in the year against their Reggie’s
No ideally for us both Easts and Sharks win all their games and we would host Cronulla first week in the 2v3 final.
Saints are pretty close to home and hosed for top 8 if they beat Cronulla though
Dragons on 28 need to pull their socks up as look like losing which opens the door for the Broncos/Dolphins/Knights and Raiders who are all on 26.
Next Week -battle for 8th place continues - Dragons could finish 7th if they win their last two games - Eels and Raiders - And Manly on 31 lose both their last 2- they play Bulldogs and Sharks
Eels vs Dragons
Dolphins vs Broncos - The loser can leave the country to quote Gus
Knights vs Titans
Roosters vs Raiders

NRL would be loving it. Only top spot is gone with 2 rounds to go.
There is no doubt that Melborne, Penrith & the Roosters will make the top 4 & there is no doubt one of those 3 teams will win the comp.
The only other team with good enough players that can make the GF but not win it is the Cowboys.
The other 4 teams that make the 8 are just making up the numbers.
Mickey has spoken - we can all switch off now - he has told us what will happen.
We're 2nd and Sharks are 3rd. Also, it's late for Melbourne to start dropping games in order to come 2nd.
Loving our current predicament but fark me Wayne Bennett deserves a punch in the head for crying about losing to Parra in a successful bid to have the finals system changed!!!
Under the Wayne Bennett system only the 1st and 2nd ranked teams get a home final and it's not THAT much of an advantage when the 3rd and 4th ranked teams are in red hot form. In substance there's always 1 team that's lucked its way into the top-4... and it could be 3rd or 4th (sometimes 2nd!!!) depending on the year. Why the top 4 of the 8 can't play the bottom 4 of the 8 has me lost for words. All because there was a single, outlier of a season where nobody knew about Jaryd Hayne and he suddenly became a Dally M freak of a FB. Ironically this was in a season where the result was nullified anyway because Hayne's outlier team got beaten by a team that was millions of dollars over the salary cap!!!

Its my opinion you d!ckhead.
If you want to put a wager on it that Melbourne, Penrith or the Roosters wont win the comp Im happy to take you up on it. Lets make it 10K
