  • Would you rather play Melbourne or Riff first week of finals

If things pan out we will probably play Melbourne or Penrith away first week of finals, who would you rather play?

Personally we are no chance at Penrith but can definitely beat Melbourne down there .

    what does everyone think?

If I had to take a pick I would rather play Melbourne because despite how well they have gone I just can't see there forwards getting it done when it matters.

Definitely the Storm. I've had a feeling all year that we'll beat them come the finals (although our last game against them didn't do me a world of confidence).

It's also not entirely out of the question that we finish 2nd. We would just need to win our remaining games, have the Storm beat Penrith when they play, and have Penrith drop one more game. Unlikely, but definitely not that crazy.

With the current state of our D it doesn’t really matter. Both will wipe the floor with us unless we can fix it.

Don’t care, we need to meet and beat both to become premiers . If we’re good enough, and I think we are, then it shouldn’t be a concern. We just need to tighten our defense which seems a little soft recently because of the over exuberance of refs to penalise anyone and anything that tackles a little hard or is accidentally a little high.

I think on our day, we can beat either. We would definitely need the week off after though. A lot would have to go our way, and the other side would have to be slightly off their game, but it happens.

There is a fair chance we will need to beat them both to win the competition. But I think I would rather take on the panthers who we haven't really got close to in week one and the Storm in the prelim.

ICGAFF who we play. I'm confident we will beat them both whether 1st week, prelim or GF.

This is the reason why top 2 should be the goal as opposed to top 4..

Playing Melbourne or Penrith away is a huge task and on top dealing with the home town crowd and ref calls against us..

                  Tough ask either way..

Life after JWH is going to be tough if the last 4 weeks is anything to go by.
Good news is he will be back next game I think (not sure) I said in a different post it’s not the entire team it’s some individuals that are causing the lapses not working hard enough, Gus, May, Rads, Collins Butcher even little Sammy have been excellent on both sides of the ball I know B. Smith cops a lot about his fitness on here however, I though he was excellent showed great desperation when we’re down the last 10 mins vs Phins.

Good news is we have 4 weeks to get it right normally Robbo has our defence on point this time of year no doubt that is all he will be talking about this bye weekend JWH will stiffen that up lead the line speed and make sure everyone is on the same page.

                    Starting with Parra.

Go Easts forget about Melbourne and Penrith we will play them eventually let’s fix the one glaring issue in determining what wins us this premiership

It's a weird season. The last few weeks are huge.

Melbourne have arguably over performed with the players they've had available. Can they keep it up?

The Riff been strong even without Clearly. Now he's back and the business end.

The Chooks... who knows with us. We're in a better position on the ladder this time of year than we've been in ages. But the Wall is down. Is thee rounds enough time to rebuild it?

Nope, Jazz misses the Parra game as his 4th week of suspension. He returns in Rnd 25 against the Titans.

I reckon (hope?) we will play Penrith in the GF, after beating the Storm in the first week of finals. I can't see the Storm beating Penrith out there and I think the Panthers will end up minor premiers.

4 weeks ago I would be confident to say we’d beat either but now I’m a little nervous. Still think we are a rung below both of those teams however on our day I still believe our absolute best is better than both of theirs. Problem is we struggle to show it against the top teams but if we do and start getting it together we can give this comp a real shake.

Let’s hope the bye serves us well and we come out refreshed and ready to go.

I’m more concerned that we finish top 4 than who we play
