I didn't see our last game. How did the great Sammy B go first up from a spell?

Roosters v Wests Tigers: Kelleher to start; Kimmorley eyes first win

The Sydney Roosters have their sights on back-to-back wins as they prepare to face the Wests Tigers in Gosford.

Industree Group Stadium on the Central Coast will host the opening game of Round 3 of the NRLW season, with the Roosters looking to build on an impressive victory over the Broncos last weekend.

The win was their first of the season and coach John Strange is confident it will kickstart their campaign.

Jessica Sergis and Tarryn Aiken were instrumental for the Roosters and they are set to play another key role this weekend.

It's been a more challenging start for the Wests Tigers, with the side still chasing their first win of the season.

Brett Kimmorley's side showed considerable improvement in last week's loss to the Gold Coast, however the top-of-the-table Titans proved too great a challenge and ran out 28-12 winners.

Emerging playmaker Losana Lutu showed just how much talent she has in the clash and she will be looking to stand tall and deliver her team a victory over the Roosters on Saturday.

a lot to like from last week - a few errors but a lot of good things. obviously aiken, sergis and kelly did well, bremner was huge in her first game for years and i really like what hall can bring to the team - strong carries and a great offload. nasio looks great - she's a very strong runner and hits hard in defence

Ball control continues to be an issue for the girls too many simple handling errors.

Tigers much more fluid shifting the ball than our girls over the first 28 minutes of this one.

We have essentially the same team as last year and we look terrible. The issue is coaching/team selection IMO.

Isabelle Kelly is the best centre in the comp and should not be playing five-eight.

Aiken is the best five-eight in the comp and moving her to halfback is unnecessary.

Kelleher is not a world-beater but is definitely good enough. Kelleher/Aiken halves combo destroyed this Tigers team last time we played.

                          Tigers dominating possession - 58% (19/22) to 42% (12/16)
                          • Roosters 7 errors and 6 penalties conceded - Tigers 4 and 4
                          • 16 missed tackles - Tigers 10
                          • 0 Line breaks - Tigers 3

Big second half coming up as the look clunky still in offense - discipline needs to improve and errors need to be reduced

They continue to push the pass which they have been doing for a few seasons now. Perhaps it’s how they are coached. You just know when they spin it wide one of them will push an unnecessary pass. The 9 needs to run straight and get Elliott etc on the charge.

Incredibly dumb football to go over the sideline on the first tackle.
