If Cleary stays on the field Penriff are still the team to beat.

Everyone always talks about how scary Melbourne are this year and that they'll be tough to beat but we almost beat them last year, I don't remember specific times but Walker kicked the field goal to put us ahead and we got ran down in the final 5 minutes or so.
For that game due to injuries and suspension we had a backline that legitimately resembled a NSW Cup side. Tedesco, Pauga, Momirovski, Allan and Paulo. This year our backline if healthy will be Tedesco, Tupou, Suaalii, Manu and Dom Young, each player is a significant upgrade over last years counterpart. JWH, Tupounuia and Watson also didn't play in that game and obviously that causes issues given how good those players are.
Fletcher Baker played last year, his replacement is Spencer Leniu who is not only the Origin bench forward but has also won a couple of comps already and has lifted since leaving Panther Town. Needless to say I think if it comes down to us and Storm again and we both play well the Roosters will emerge victorious. The Panthers are a bit more difficult and the more intimidating side but as others have mentioned they have looked weaker this year and with a busted Cleary they will struggle.
I think if the Roosters aren't in the grand final the season is a failure, this is our best chance since 2018 and 2019 I think.

Yes, as I said before, at our best we can beat anyone. My one concern other than discipline is our long kicking game isn’t as good as many other teams. Teddy, pass the ball. Keary, careful who you pass the ball to! I’m still angry Parra let Penrith back into the game. We would be second and Penrith would be fourth!
That’s what Cleary does add Hughes and DCE to that also.

Massive advantage for Storm & Panthers is our 1 from 20 record against them.

Sitili
Manu
Suaalii
Keary
JWH - More game time for May/Leniu/Whyte
Sitili - Wong / Egan Butcher
Manu/Suaalii - Billy Smith / Toia / Mark N/Young/Pauga/King
Keary - Sandon Smith/Townsend/Elliot
Still will field a very good squad - still some spots to fill
