If Jennings is fit, I'd be very happy for him to take the other centre spot alongside Manu for the rest of the season. He is and has always been class, plus a very solid defender, even if he's lost a bit of his explosive pace from 2013.

121 consecutive games without our first choice 17. I wonder what the numbers are for every other club in the NRL. Would be surprised if it was half the number.

What was the match, player lineup and scoreline 121 games ago when we had our best 17?
1985: 1 try vs Parramatta, 1 try vs Manly, 1 try vs Wests, 2 tries vs Souffs
1986: 2 tries vs Illawarra, 1 try vs Balmain, 2 tries vs Norths.

Love me some Billy, but Connor if the only one missing from our best 17.

Perhaps we will get them all back for GF day!

It was the 2019 Grand Final, I kid you not.

And averaging 38 tackles a game. Our hardest working defender. Those who don’t appreciate his efforts should pay more attention to what he does do, rather than what he doesn’t.

                    Yep, really.

It does beg the question, what actually is our best 17 right now? Billy Smith was planned to be left center, with no starting spot for Suaalii. Given what Joe has achieved this year, has that now changed?

If Watto is available next week, and there are no new injuries or suspensions, does the ‘Best 17’ count end?

Billy Smith over Joseph S is absurd.

JS is finally finding form and living up to the hype.

Sandon Smith to come on after the softening up period with Rads reverting back to the edge, N Butcher & Whyte to share the lock position.
And it will be a blessing in disguise that JWH was suspended.
Nat is more effective in the middle third. He's been playing there a bit when coming off the bench recently.

I think ZDC starts at dummy half.

I think if Watson back and no others out it does end as Billy is still playing in res grade so is avaialable for selection
                          what’s the chances though? Haha
im still underwhelmed with suaali - scored 4 tries while all the other backs have scorerd between 10 and 18
offers little in attack and still very average defence reading the game at centre
it does highlight with all the guys back in nsw cup if he plays poorly over the next few weeks there are Guys looking over his shoulder

Our biggest issue is letting in soft tries and the last try against Parra and the try from dummy half against Manly were two of the softest tries all year. Whyte was at marker on both occasions. Had NFI how to defend them. He will come back better. JWH will tighten that up.

ZDC on the extended bench in case BSmith needs a break. Hopefully he is right to go.

                            Good team.
wrong on that. it was Leniu not taking up his spot on the line under the post v manly and with the pawwa try he fouled the ruck area stopping our markers from stopping the try. Both times it showed Leniu as lazy

If Billy was ready for first grade tomorrow - who would you leave out? I'd argue he wouldn't be picked.

I really like Billy but I think Suaalii has really hit form now and has his nose in front of Billy.

I think so. As you say big Joe has done well this year. The pecking order does change, so fingers crossed we can name it next week!
