If Jennings is fit, I'd be very happy for him to take the other centre spot alongside Manu for the rest of the season. He is and has always been class, plus a very solid defender, even if he's lost a bit of his explosive pace from 2013.

It does beg the question, what actually is our best 17 right now? Billy Smith was planned to be left center, with no starting spot for Suaalii. Given what Joe has achieved this year, has that now changed?
If Watto is available next week, and there are no new injuries or suspensions, does the ‘Best 17’ count end?

I think the Cheese will be rested & Rads will start at 9, Nat to the edge, Whyte to lock.
Sandon Smith to come on after the softening up period with Rads reverting back to the edge, N Butcher & Whyte to share the lock position.
And it will be a blessing in disguise that JWH was suspended.
I think ZDC starts at dummy half.Born and bred in the eastern suburbs.

what’s the chances though? Haha
im still underwhelmed with suaali - scored 4 tries while all the other backs have scorerd between 10 and 18
offers little in attack and still very average defence reading the game at centre
it does highlight with all the guys back in nsw cup if he plays poorly over the next few weeks there are Guys looking over his shoulder

Our biggest issue is letting in soft tries and the last try against Parra and the try from dummy half against Manly were two of the softest tries all year. Whyte was at marker on both occasions. Had NFI how to defend them. He will come back better. JWH will tighten that up.
ZDC on the extended bench in case BSmith needs a break. Hopefully he is right to go.

I really like Billy but I think Suaalii has really hit form now and has his nose in front of Billy.Last edited by The Lip; 08-21-2024, 09:19 AM.
