Unlike some i put the Team first & couldn't care less about individual players who come & go.

Everything with this guy the last couple of years is so f****g boring & tedious with his actions.

Heart, blood, sweat, tears you say? He must be the only NRL player to do that for his club apparently.

Give me Mini, Ricko, Aubo, Toops, Cords Friendy any day.

Pub footy that you played is miles away from the NRL level footy.

      Hope you’re right Salvo.

Titans were up there with the Raiders today in terms of milking penalties. No wonder they are so shit, their whole team are a bunch of soft coqs. Some of those penalties were so petty.

It's like the nrl/refs/mrc get their jollies trying to sinbin, fine ,suspend anyone ,but manage to stuff it up with inconsistencies.. Rubbing players out for careless high contact is not what they should be so zealously suspending players for. Sinbins and penalties should be all that is warranted except for foul play, or reckless and especially that which causes injury to players included in the assessment. The whole approach at the moment by officialdom is painful to watch

            Yeah of course.

We had a guy like him..tough as nails & the guy you wanted in your team than against.

But his likeable nature wore thin & disappeared when he cost us games with constant sin bins & send off's then suspension.

He's paid very decent coin by the club, missing 27 games + now counting is pretty bad.

Find me another player anywhere with that kind of record in the last 10 - 15yrs.

During the presser Des respectfully noted there were ~18 penalties altogether and both teams were uncertain about various rulings.

IMO for whatever reason the refs seem to start feeling sorry for teams getting belted by us. Difficult to quantify but they never seem to let them just get thrashed - it's like there's a duty to help them stay in touch. Not saying they rig games, but IMO they put their guard down when we're up rather than being like 'how farking dare you hit Teddy high - show some respect!!!' (which is totally what they'd do if you were down by 20-30 and somebody tried pulling that sorta shyte on say Cleary / Ponga / Walsh...etc). Not saying we deserve any extra respect but I'd love to see the harsh punishments go both ways... with an emphasis on stopping grubby teams from getting dirty once they know they're beaten.

I reckon if they did a pole & asked supporters of all the teams which team has the grubbiest players & who is the biggest grub the Roosters would pole high & JWH would be considered the biggest grub in the game. Being a grubby team & having the biggest grub in the game playing for us doesn't worry me, I like it.

Will go down as a great club man..the most capped Rooster ever. Was our most feared player.

But was selfish as all f**k. Not the smartest player to play for this great club. Only took 12min back from another suspension to enforce that view again.

Just when we need him the most just before finals he cant help himself & looks gone for another long stiint.

Has become a liability now which is a sad way to end his Rooster carrer...All the best JWH.
Joke of a comment & a shit take on the bloke. Selfish means you did it for your benefit & to get a reward from it at the expense of others. What did/does he get out of being in the bin & suspended?
The bloke bleeds for the club & is as loyal as they come, certainly not selfish, but rather selfless.
Hopefully he’s back for finals & then the GF where he can knock anyone out & take a premiership with him.

                    Haha selfless you say?

Giving everything to others & sacrificing his own needs.....what a joke that is.

I'm so glad he sacrifices his position in the team to sit long stints in the grandstand... So selfless that he knows opposition players will bait him but still do some crazy s**t & get sin binned & usually suspended afterwards.

So selfless that he's surely told the club he won't take 27 weeks of pay during all his suspensions?

Your question should be "what does the club get out of him being sin binned & suspended?

JWH will be the highest answer.

Being smart grubby like a Micheal Ennis is one thing...then there's just dumb grubby which gets tedious fast.

Coaches know we are the most penalised team. It's a cheap way to gain an advantage.

JWH has been good for the club but you can’t say his consistent sin-binning and giving away penalties has not become a massive liability.

I don’t think he’s doing anything about it either which makes it frustrating. Look at Radley, he changed his techniques so much that he’s hardly binned now.. but still can make lots of effective tackles.

I’m a bit worried each time I see JWH tried to tackle hard coz most of the time we know how that ends.

If he plays in the finals, he needs to devote all his manic energy to his hit ups and wind it back in defence. They'll sin bin him if he has a stern expression on his face while tackling.

A poll would be more instructive than a pole.
1985: 1 try vs Parramatta, 1 try vs Manly, 1 try vs Wests, 2 tries vs Souffs
1986: 2 tries vs Illawarra, 1 try vs Balmain, 2 tries vs Norths.

If JWH was selfish he would taken the Raiders 4 year 1 mill a season deal
