  • Official Match Day Thread: Roosters v Raiders

Can’t wait for today’s game. The importance and significance is huge. Canberra are coming off a good win against Penrith and if we take them lightly we risk dropping down to fourth and sacrificing a home semi-final so there is so much to play for.

Going to be hot conditions. Good opportunity to fine tune some defensive deficiencies. Let’s hope we see improvement in this department with the semis only 2 weeks away. We need to limit their opportunities and keep them to as few points as possible.

Let’s not be complacent and just expect things to happen. We’ve worked hard to get to top 2 and our destiny is in our own hands. With the added bonus of ruining Ricky’s day and ending their season, today should be an absolute belter of a game.

Happy Father’s Day to all Dad’s. I’m looking forward to having my Dad with me at the game today and my boys, three generations of Rooster!

    Kick off 405pm.

    GO ROOSTERS!

We have a great opportunity the cement 2nd spot. Sharks shock loss gives opportunity to but distance between them and us. We need to be ready and switch on with no slow starts. Cant give the faiders hope if we play to our ability.

I bet Penrith thought that last week too. No complacency.

looking for an 80 min performance. attack's humming and hope that continues and looking to be consistent in d. our d's been pretty good - if we keep the raiders to less than 4 tries we will have conceded less tries than the storm - but looking to cut out the errors and give them nothing

Crazy! The Wahs musta mounted a solid comeback there as the Sharks were up by a fair bit on the scoreboard and seemed to have the cue in the rack?

I hope we can make sure of this result as we should be able to put the Faders away without too much of a hassle. If we have to play the Riff in round 1 of the finals then I'd love it to be at home.

Playing the Raiders always worries me. Too many disappointing visits to Bruce Stadium over the years. A home game should be a very different story, but I’m rarely confident about these games.

Happy Father’s Day to all the Dads. I’ll be watching with my girls.

                      GO EASTS

Everything to play for a home semi against the Riff is the first step to getting the monkey off our back but the task at hand Faiders GF today they will be up to send that whinger Whitehead off with a finals berth let’s give them an early Mad Monday planner.

great weather hoping we can pick up our d this week conceding minimal tries
Raiders can be anything but with Fogarty out this will help us

Last home game for the regular season, on a dry track, first day of spring, Dads day. Plus honouring our incredible service men and women, especially the amazing Amy Scott. Save the biggest cheer and reception for her today.

Raiders can provide a messy experience. The artisans of the lay down after good hit, feign interference in defence etc. Rapana and Whitehead lead the dance but they all don't mind participating. The young bucks Todd Smith and Wyatt Earp maintaining the peace today, don't get conned young'uns. We just need to stay focussed and honour the day and occasion appropriately. We do that, we should win well.

Size and offloads from Pap and Tapine, and genuine speed from Weekes and Savage are threats to contain.

Great to have Connor back. Let's play some footy. See you at the office.

                            P.S nice preview 13.
