I my experience, I have found that the punters who spruik their wins all the time are only telling you half the story. It's the one's who say they have just broken even or got out on the last who are usually the one's that are racking up the wins.

Yeah no disrespect to Brain, whose posts I've enjoyed for decades, but I don't want any youngsters thinking they are going to make a living from punting. If his son is making a living out of gambling at the odds dictated by betting agencies then he is truly defying the odds and would be one in a hundred of punters overall. Not trying to be a killjoy, I enjoy a punt occasionally but would strongly advise the impressionable against the idea it is a valid and practical source of income.

But some of the commentary of the Chook Pen i've heard about Robbo the past several years beggars belief considering our premiership record in modern times under him, as well as the fact we are always competitive and always in the finals under Robbo.

Most supporters & clubs would commit murder to have Robinson as their head coach.

It's great Trewella has put his cap in his hand regarding Robbo. There are others that need to do the same.

I've said it before and will say it again - some Roosters fans are spoilt and have an entitlement complex. Instead, I think it's really important to be thankful for the fact that we are privileged to be 1 of just 3 clubs (us, Panthers, Storm) in the entire comp who have dominated the past decade. Robbo has been a common denominator across this timeframe.

I swear 25% of the Chook Pen would neck themselves if they were Tigers or Bulldog supporters.

Spot on. I maintain that no coach would have done any better with our injuries since 2020. Certainly not by any notable margin.
People really seem to think it's coincidence that we had been basically rubbish (aside from a freak 2010 year) for nearly a decade before Robinson came to the helm, and have been the major force along with the Storm since then.

For what it's worth, my dad is a die-hard Dragons supporter, and the amount of times through the years of Steve Price, Paul McGregor and Anthony Griffin that he has bemoaned that he doesn't have a "Coach like Robinson" is beyond count.
