I quite liked the Roar and found it to be higher qualiy than most mainstream stuff, but it's just dreadful lately. And not just in regards to the Roosters.
I can't really stomach 360 anymore, primarily due to Tallis. I don't know why on Earth they're persisting with him. No-one can stand him.
I don't mind 100% footy most of the time, but tend to just listen to podcasts instead, usually from ex-players. Those tend to be much better in quality.
I was actually considering starting a website next year, and doing some articles of my own. Might end up doing it.
I found Paul Kent was the entertaining part of NRL 360, and I'd much rather have him on there than Tallis. Tallis has toned it down against the Roosters lately (maybe Nick delivered a few home truths when they apparently met recently). He likes JWH and any big forward, but his comments in the past have been typical blinkered anti-Roosters stuff. Doesn't matter how much work the Roosters do to develop players, there's always a negative response. That's why I let loose in my Roar response and didn't look at replies other than those I know who are Roosters supporters, they always respond with a negative too, or pick out two words in a sentence and go on about it in multiple paragraphs. Although I don't believe in living in an echo chamber, there are quite a few on there - as seen in other comments to the article, that are always just going be haters. It's probably a combination of trying to find an excuse for their own team doing badly or just hating people who live in the eastern suburbs, because they think we're all like the characters in "Made In Bondi".
As I said though, it was my parting comment. (Unless we win the Grand Final, then I might go back and write an "up-roars" article). Many are just looking for excuses for their own team performing badly, Basically I said at the end, the Roosters will just keep on doing what they always do - their best....and you can like it or not.Last edited by ccfc bondi; 09-08-2024, 10:15 AM.
