At the start of last round we were 2nd - and got rolled by a team not playing finals this year. Not good enough - ' again '.

We definitely do not want to play Melbourne in Melbourne next weekend. We would be no chance.

We must beat the wabbits well tonight.

    GO ROOSTERS.

We are in a nothing to gain, everything to lose situation here, with our rivals the opposite. I don't buy the argument that a run against a head hunting dirty mob is needed. The combos are already there, Sandon just slots in.

Why did Robbo pick this squad? My guesses are twofold; one he asked Ted, Kez, Gus and they said piss off we're playing. Secondly Robbo is all about positivity so may be aiming that we can somehow still run 2nd and earn a home qualifying final next week. No negativity or second guessing.

Joey Atkins and Gee Whiz controlling things. The best of the bunch but God knows what can happen on the night.

Congrats to Mark and Sal for their debuts tonight. A special moment for both, shame its not a homie.
Not sure. I think it does make sense to want to try out some new combinations, and maybe even just mentally to beat the Bunnies and beat them well, and get a bounce back into our step as we head into the finals.

I was in favour of resting basically the whole squad, but I wonder if losing to Canberra while having so many injuries, then having a week off before playing (likely) the Panthers in Penrith wouldn't be very good prep. If we get a bit of confidence and end the season with a bang, I think that does help psychologically, after what happened last week.

Absolutely pray we have no more injuries, and that Souths don't get their tails up tonight. I don't think they'll dotheir usual stuff. They should be trying to avoid suspensions next year, and since their random purple patch of form in the middle of the season, they have been the worst team in the comp. Hopefully we beat them well, and I think we will. Their defense is absolutely paper.

Very exited to see Steep, Marky and Va'a run around. Kind of hope Elliot gets a run, too.

Imagine if the NRL had of let Latrell serve his suspension this weekend. Those usual suspects on here who constantly bang on about how bad the Roosters get treated by the NRL & how the NRL are bias against the Chooks have been very quiet.
Hats off to the NRL for not buckling & making LM serve his suspension in Rd 1 next year.

quiet simple. we need to win to maintain 3nd spot. we lose and the shire win we are 4th playing Melb in Melb. we win and the riff lose against the Titts we have 2nd. do what the driz did last night, and then build confidence and momentum.

            Buckling to what?
Souffs said he was out for the season and decided to take the p!ss out of the NRL and try and say he is all of a sudden fit to play in the last game of the season to avoid suspension.

All eyes on next week. No injures or suspension is all I ask for. ICGAFF on the result but hope we score 92 points.

Another dangerous game for obvious reasons however the scheduling of yet another end of season game against the vermin is so passe and also it being a Friday night game for the NRLpartner - tabloid Ch9. I smell more controversy coming our way tonite. It’s the nature of the game.

NRL.con is running some narrative that this is a special game because it marks the end of the great Burgess era.

Get ready for the fix!!! Burgesses (most of whom have criminal records and / or drug usage problems by now) need to be sent off as heroes.

Zzzz... fark Russ' concubine and her four sons. I hope May and Leniu give old Tommy Boy the send-off that he and the other grubs deserve.

I don't find that 'quite simple' at all RP. Whether we run 3rd or 4th we get a second bite of the cherry, which is the main thing and then get JWH back. And, to be honest, I'd rather play Storm then Panthers next week. Yes I get the optimum of running 2nd with a home qualifier, but on the risk vs reward meter I'd still be running out a Reggies team tonight...who by the way probably still wins.

This moment reminds me of when Lleyton Hewitt drew Federer in round 1 of a grand slam. Pundits were like 'that's unfair as you can beat most of the other players!!!' Whereas Hewitt was like 'TBH I love it because I get a crack at the big daaawgz in round 1 and if I beat him then I steal his #1 seeding, which should be a pretty smooth pathway to the final'.

IMO that's where we're at. We're gonna get a crack at playing the Drizz or the Riff, which is our ultimate goal. Beat them and suddenly we've made our own luck.

In my mind if Crichton, May, Leniu, Collins, Whyte, Watson, Sitili and friends play to their potential then we'll dominate the middle and be very difficult to score against (we woulda had to do that anyway!!!)

Anybody writing us off is full of shyte.

Regardless what happens we have made top 4, which is not easy in this comp. After the game we need to keep that perspective and celebrate our regular season for being very good, maybe just shy of excellent… But, I’d love nothing more than to flog bunnies and put a cherry on top. Then onto the privilege of playing finals

The Interchange Bench is interesting especially how it will be used and the minutes each player will/may play for.

                                Connor Watson when playing Dummy Half averages around 77 minutes per game - 3 games - 80 / 80 / 72

                                Dockar Clay - NRL Minutes - 4 games - 13 / 25 / 55 / 9 - Averages around 70 minutes per game in NSW Cup
                                Wong - NRL Minutes - 7 games - 52 / 40 / 27 / 28 / 25 / 31 / 18 - Averages around 72 minutes per game in NSW Cup
De La Salle Va'a - on debut - Averages around 37 minutes per game in NSW Cup
                                Steep - NRL Minutes - 2 games - 12 / 13 - Averages around 62 minutes per game in NSW Cup
