    - Souffs on the other hand just didn't get penalised for a heap of lazy/reckless shyte, which IMO massively spoils the flow as you've gotta play by the whistle. This included both late, swinging arms to the head (I saw a heap go unpenalised) and giving Souffs FOREVER after calling 'heeeeld... releeeee... c'mon Tommy I'm serious bruh... please release him'. There was even a friendly chit-chat with 10 to go where the ref didn't penalise Burgess but was basically like 'dude c'mon... I've been super nice to you and it's allowed your team to catch-up... please just behave for the last 30 seconds'.

IDK. I get that it was their home game and their 'grand final' with Cook and 'the Burgess Dynasty' being the topic of the day. However IMO we got given some pretty ordinary calls and an HIA to Teddy / Watson / Keary from one of thoseunpenalised, reckless swinging arms woulda been the dizzy limit for me.
It's always the penalties that we don't get. Burgarse should've been binned for his high shot on Teddy. Not the first time he has avoided the bin following a high shot on Teddy.

There must be a crackdown of new sorts. Some of the indiscretions Atkins was enforcing last night were random.
I usually don't worry about the refereeing but last night was bizarre, Jared raises his arm like that five times a game.

Strangely Kez was tackles in the air after kicking, there wasn't much in it but they have been a penalty all year.

I thought it was nit picking for one team only.

          Agree.
The commentators called play on BUT Keary was in the air whilst Cook charged into him. The rule is in place to protect kickers.
          CONSISTENCY.....that's all we yearn for.

Be careful what you wish for there. I don't agree for all rules - take the obstruction rule for one or the blocker rule for drop kicks - common sense needs to be applied.

Common sense? Do the NRL officials and MRC have any? In all seriousness if it was ALWAYS applied then I wouldn't have any problems.

It's about time Easts arbitrarily fined the NRL for their outrageous officiating of our matches.

They'd make their money back in no time.
1985: 1 try vs Parramatta, 1 try vs Manly, 1 try vs Wests, 2 tries vs Souffs
1986: 2 tries vs Illawarra, 1 try vs Balmain, 2 tries vs Norths.

If JWH and Suaalii don't change their tackling styles we're in big trouble for the finals.
Suaalii sems to wanna be no1 tough guy.
That tackle of his on Gray? was centimetres away from a binning and suspension.

What was Suaalii suppose to do?
Gray was a half a metre off the ground & Suaalii bent his back & crouched his knees. Perfect technique.

Club should compile a dossier of said officiating, complete with video and statistical evidence...then ....
Trouble is...the NRL has to invite you to play in the League every year?...
...and if they don't like you, they can boot you out?
...or can make you merge with another team?

I dont know why the NRL dont let the Roosters appoint their own ref for our games. Maybe Holbrook, Cords or JWH when he's suspended.

one thing about su - i don't think he's lifted his knee once when bracing for the tackle since he was cited so that's good
