I dont think its so much the number of penalties, rather when and where there given. They often give us a few, on early tackles, early in the game when there defence is set & fresh. After that we seem to go long periods of the game without a penalty. The opposition on the other hand, get them consistently throughout the match, nearly always on late tackles , and when there coming out of there own end.

This has always been my bugbear. To many matches are won and lost directly on the back of a referee's penalties. Referees are only human and they all have there pre-conceived ideas. They all listen to the media read the Astonisher - which would'nt help our cause. The game need some kind of contest for possion of the ball ..... and not just base our game around referee's penalty counts.

Pretty confident we won't lose the penalty count this weekend - fairly certain that we won't win it either.

Without doubt we get penalised first every game.

Usually around 4 or 5 minutes in.

You can feel when it's about to happen. It's weird.

Then, more often than not, that penalty means points.

          It's so predictable it's uncanny.

That's your team sheet in action.

Generally the 1st penalty against us is in the 2nd set of 6 the oppsoition has the ball This has happened in the last 5 matches

We were penalised on the fourth tackle four times against Manly in the first half for dead set 'nothing' penalties.

And you know when the penalty count gets to 8-2 and we're down 30-10, we'll get three in a row on the other team's tryline in the 77th minute to make it look more even.
