  • Watching the game

When you can’t watch the game, live at the ground,

How do you like to watch the Chooks play?

Especially big time, high stakes finals footy.

Do you do something special? Have a party?
Put on a feed? Stock the fridge?

I voted 'on delay' because the Roosters always play around 3 a.m. in my time zone...but I watch every match with another Rooster fan - my wife.

If I’m not at the game I prefer to watch at home with whoever is home Or if nobody is home alone I’m always content in my own company

At the game…..as long as it’s a seat not to high, not to low, and not at the ends, and not at Homebush….I’d rather travel to Suncorp in Brisbane!

I watch on delay (about 30 minutes) so I can fast forward thru halftime and, if it's a nailbiter, I can fast forward thru the opponents' sets of 6. I get too anxious watching the opposition with ball in hand near our line.
1985: 1 try vs Parramatta, 1 try vs Manly, 1 try vs Wests, 2 tries vs Souffs
1986: 2 tries vs Illawarra, 1 try vs Balmain, 2 tries vs Norths.

I like a bit of company but no one wants to watch it with me anymore.Apparently I ruin it for everybody with my yelling and screaming at the refs. I am mellowing though.

I have to watch solo these days.

                      No civilians.

                      No conversations.

                      No small talk.

Just heaps of pacing and swearing.

It’s not a lot of fun. More an ordeal.

I’ve been known to do that.

I get that. I often have to apologise to my love ones for my passion/poor behaviour especially when Klown is the referee.

When I was dating my now wife, I was watching a roosters v bulldogs game at her place, we were leading and with no time left, Matt utai (I think that’s his name) ran over one of our wingers to win the match, I stood up and kicked one of her small plants a few meters, she looked at me like I was a nut job, and asked me to leave. I was all good after kicking that plant(just needed to get some frustration out)and she still married me a few years later

I like watching games on my own, but we still watch a lot of games together, i rarely get angry with the result anymore, just get disappointed and go quiet , its funny, she yells more at the tv than me these days.
