Well a tough game
riff played the best 40 min I have seen a team play
and we played the worst - if we started better who would have known! Cleary kicking game was insane - can’t imagine what it would be like if we had him
toops and sandon smith were off with a few bad errors
needed more form our front rowers only making 50-60 mtr
Whyte and Wong were the best forwards. Whyte made 140mtr and 75pcm in only 30 min
Nat may defend better but still…
I know riff were the better side but our comeback was killed but fkn Klein don’t know how he gets a whistle! 3 times we missed penalaties and the forward pass call and no penalty for obstruction was a 12 point turnaround
who knows if we got within a try

With Klein it's not just the penalties and 6A. It's the unrecorded calls he makes against us - that nonsense forward pass call, Tupous knock on call when catching the ball, when it was a clear knock back. Penrith scored straight after.
Its his mo when reffing us. We know exactly what's going to happen.

Yes we won the second half and the Klown had one of his usual shockers (also can’t see how that trip in the 5th tackle on teddy was not called) but we were completely blown away in the first half.
we have now lost something like 10 in a row to Penrith over 5 years. That’s not good enough. The team and the game plan need a rebuild. I can’t wait for next year tbh.
teddy - tried hard but can’t settle or control the team or influence a ref. Not a good capt.
tupes - uncharacteristically bad night - maybe not elite anymore.
Suaalii - tried hard and is getting better as a footballer- shame he is going.
Manu - seriously woeful since returning from his injury. Got flogged by Alomati.
Young - tried hard but limited
Kez - can’t retire soon enough.
Sando - played like an inexperienced kid. Not unexpected but will get better - defensively worse than Sammy.
Collins - poor
May - poor
Crichton - horror show considering his form all year
tupouniua - tried hard
Butcher - did he play?
Whyte - at least he has a crack.
Watson - close to our best and that wasn’t that good.
Wong - ok
ZDC - Robbo bench special
Special mention for Spencer - WTF was he doing at the end of the game hanging around getting photos with the riff. Seriously did he go to the wrong room.
Let’s all thank Jazz for serving 7 weeks on suspension for the last 9 games.

To keep the riff to only 1try in the second half was commendable but not allowing us back into the game with one sided officialdom is all part of the tv scheduled comp wherein the entertainment is tabloid commentators slagging off the roosters to keep their audience happy followed up by click bait for bogan fans who tune into tv shows and tabloid media.
A fresh riff are unstoppable and one wonders if they use performance enhancers none were out of breath during the entire game!Comment
