Possession at half time was Penrith 62% and Roosters 38% - Roosters had more possession in the last 10 or so minutes

At one stage in the first half for set completions it was Penrith 20/22 and Roosters 5/7

    overall

The killer was the lack of possession in those first 25 or so minutes

    Penrith completion rate 92% ( 38/41) - Roosters 81% ( 31/38)
    Possession - Penrith 54% - Roosters 46%
    Line Breaks - Penrith 4 - Roosters 2
Errors was telling - Penrith 5 - Roosters 11 - 7 in the first half
    Penalties Conceded - Penrith 3 - Roosters 6
    Set Restarts conceded - Penrith 5 - Roosters 2
    Tackles - Penrith 358 ( missed 38) - Roosters 403 ( Missed 37)
The reason for the lack of possession was basic errors and our forward pack being completely dominated. The possession is the consequence not the cause.

That's because he's the wrong shape for a prop and good shape for a second rower.
Not heavy/muscular enough for a prop.
R C Gillard is available, reportedly can't find a new home.
      For an immediate solution.

      • Benefits of our loss to Panthers:

        1. How we played badly is on tape for us to fix before next week.
        Bomb catching practice a must.
Mistakes to be pointed out and fixed.
        2. How to play winning footy in 2024 is on tape, for us to copy.
Copying from successful people is the best policy in life.

It's all there on tape, all we have to do is adapt that attack and defence for ourselves.
Draw, pass, draw pass, ...pass back inside to players running angles at pace, etc...it's all there.
        3. Showed that we must start games with the biggest players we have in as many positions as possible.
        4. We made the first mistake, giving the opposition possession close to our line.
It was all downhill from then on.
        We must stop doing that.

The solutions are there on tape, if we want to be better next week and into the future.

Yes I understand that, but surely it’s not difficult to walk over to your captain and ask him to challenge a clear incorrect decision made by the ref..

          • Penrith had to much spirit & it helped them big time having the best player in the game back.

The seemingly rose coloured glasses refereeing didn't do them any harm either.
Easy to win games when all you have to do is run all night with the ball that the other team doesn't have very often.

Its his mo when reffing us. We know exactly what's going to happen.

A very biased and weak minded ref.
Even the Garner Try. No camera angles showing the ball hits the ground. No doubt for us that would be sent up No Try and could not be overturned.

                  • 24 nil after 24 minutes was not because of Klein, Penrith were on fire.
Iv seen it plenty of times when a player from other teams knocks it back like Toops did & its pulled up.

2 6A got them enough possession to score.

                        • Might as well forfeit certain games, and have game day parties instead.
Big waste of our time playing them.

                          NRL can see it all.
V'landys, Abdo, ARL Commission...they oversee it all, employ the officials.
Ever see them doing anything about it?
