Freddy could've still been coach if he was more open to help and suggestions. Gus would've been the Gen Mgr of Football and Freddy the coach. Could've been that way for ages. Unfortunately for us and Freddy he wanted to do it all himself, until it was too late. Imagine Freddy coaching Carney and Pearce, with Gus overseeing the whole thing.
Almost brings a tear to the eye.

Exactly, it really doesn't say much for Smiffy and Retarded Son!
The year 2013 marks the beginning of the Roosters next 'decade of excellence', and it will prove to be more successful than the last!

      Here's looking at you, kid.

This 100%. Would of been a great set up.Gus as the manager with freddy running the day to day training.Freddy was never ready to be head coach and this could of been our set up for many great years. The problem was Freddy wanted to be his own man and have no help and told gus to back off,he also told Matt Johns his help was not needed.

Now Gus is at Penrith, freddy is forever bitter on the club and we have Smith coaching and us being the headless Chooks,oh what could of been.

They were applauding the Bulldogs structure. Yet on Monday they scored 1 try from a rehearsed move, 3 from kicks
One was great piece of individual brillence, one should have been covered up and the other was our fullback was up in the line. One try (no try) from dummy half and the other was an intercept. They were far too good for us in the 2nd half.
but we were on top for 30 -35 min in the first half. The Bulldog still produced 10 errors compared to our 9 with our "Harlem Globetrotter" attitude.
The big differnce was they were able to prevent tries better than us and we let ourselves down when we were down on their line with some very basic plays (poor kicking, poor passing).

Its quite amusing to hear people championing Freddys coaching credentials now....before they couldnt wait to get rid of him!

Yep, and early this year the same posters were complaining we were one out and boring, and Pearce never took the line, we never passed, blah blah blah and now we're too 'harlem globetrotters'.

I bet if the panel of "drips under pressure" on NRL on fox said we should change our logo and colours, half the sheeple on here would agree.

              Chook.

Tallis' contribution is sort of ehh but

Johns and Doogs summed it up best.

Waz- Round the back passes and looking for the no look pass
Doogs- Rolled out the a young team and building for the future BUT they have no structure
I don't see how you can argue with that.

Unless you truly believe we do have structure and we aren't playing off the top of our heads?

You have to learn to crawl before you can walk and we are trying to skip straight to running. When the broncos where rebuilding you could see the simple structure and game plan. 3 yrs down the track they are a solid attacking and difensive team with structure and set plays. They did the ground work and built off a foundation.

One of two things is happening we either have structure a game plan and set plays and not follwing it!! OR we have nothing in place.... which one is it?? I down know but leaning towards nothing.

I'm sure we could set up some sort of roster system to ensure Braith gets to Concord each day for training. I would be happy to do my bit when I could!

I am a bit peeved off just knowing there ios no game plan, im a rugby union coacxh and even we have a game plan and a fall back plan! acknowledging that rugby is a much more adhoc game than league is to acknowledge we are surely a ship withoout a rudder, a team without a captain, a team without a plan!

We have no structure because Smith does not coach stucture. That's been known for more than a decade so no big surprise. Do you know why Tallis, Geyer and McDrugs are bald? Their brains turned to puss years ago and their hair died. Everyone knew how Smith coached before he came to us so these pearls of wisdom from the bald stooges are hardly revelations. Our game plan changes depending on who we play, another Smith trait that's been known for a long time, again no surprise.

Yes we look disorganised at times and we have no plan because to implement and execute one you need two compotent pivots which we don't have. We have one that's busting his arse and doing everything and one that's a complete bludging **** who should be dragged to Concord by his nuts! Get the best game plan you can find and try and make it work with a bludger and it will fail, everytime.

We actually had a good game plan on Monday night and were executing it in the first half. We had a patched up backline and so we punched holes through their middle and kept the ball in the middle third of the field most of the half. We kept it up for the first 15 mins of the second and we fell apart. Oh and don't forget we had Captain Flick Pass Mc****tard try his bullshit and you wonder why we look like a rabble at times?

                              Chook.
