  • We got bashed in the middle

Simple as that. Forwards didn't stand up and as such we never had any real momentum. The running metre stats for our forwards outside of Whyte were really low.

In saying that I think Wong and Whyte both proved (although Whyte has some defensive issues) that they belong in the top grade

Someone needs to put a QLD jersey under Collins Roosters one cause he might pull out a top effort for once this year.

We need big men who can barge up the middle not get pushed back. Our forwards are tiny and cannot compete against the top teams. JWH was irresponsible and shouldn’t be given another game in red, white and blue for his antics. We need to blood new forwards. I’m thinking of the Vaa brothers. We need to get them in firsts asap.

Apart from the obvious errors, the only thing I thought we stuffed up was persisting with one-out runs in that opening 20-minutes. We adjusted in the second half.

Cast your mind back to 2003 when we belted the Panthers forwards just before the finals. It was exactly what their forwards needed to prepare for the grand final. Roles are reversed this time. We are the team that has played attacking football all year, and they are the grinding team that taught our forwards a valuable lesson.

in the first half penrith had momentum which was partly due to their great completion rate and our errors. and this wasn't the penrith of this year, this was the penrith that has won three comps. in the modern game momentum counts for a lot. but we turned things around in the second half which says that if we hold the ball more than our opponents, whoever they may be, we'll be competitive

If our forwards hold their own then rest should take care of itself as we have plenty of strike across the park. We missed JWH big time!

Their 2 props have been the best in the comp for years now. You're just biased if you think otherwise

JWH and Rads would have made a big difference

Yes we did and this is why we as fans along with the coaching staff should be filthy with JWH

He has been a massive liability with his poor discipline

What is the latest on Rads?

IMO Watson > Cheese, and Sandon more of a team player than Walker. However, our defense is terrible without Rads.

I don't think it was the middle we got bashed , as another poster suggested rape shouldn't be shown on tv

Don't know but a fracture is not going to heal in a couple of weeks. It would be highly unlikely he plays again this year imo

Collins is making far too many tackles for a front rower another 41 last night and it is sapping him from being damaging with ball in hand this is a trend that has been going on for a while now.

Collins tries but is half the player he was last season. Gets dominated way too often for a big bloke.

Judging by May’s words from an article this week he’s not quite committed. This time last year I was pumped about what he could achieve this season. He’s gone backwards.

                            Hey Grubber, when’s Haas coming?

What pissed me off was that they were making 40-50 metres from the very first set- and it just continued

You train and bust a gut the whole year to make semi finals and then let the opposition dance down the centre from the kick off? Why bother showing up?

Maybe we should keep JWH for a extra year and factor in he will be suspended for half of it- because without him in the engine room we fire on half a cylinder.
