I dont know what else Penrith have to do to be considered a great club considering they are inline to be in the GF 5 yeas in a row.
    None really, only the Roosters.

Melbourne would be up there, the old Saints, Manly perhaps. Always been up there. I'd put Brisbane as a "heavyweight" club, a prestigious club although I strongly dislike them.

Penriff to me were always mid table dwellers. They change their jersey and identify every few years, can't even decide on colors or badge.

Just like wise owl Bennett, Ivan plays the media and comes across as a crass smuck.

I've engaged with them both and they're friendly, down to earth beings who keep to themselves. Bellamy is the same.
Ricky on the other hand, WYSIWYG.

Collins used to bend the line back in the day. Now he gets hammered and makes as many metres as Butcher.

Sure he does great things off the ball and clean up work but his main role is to make yards up the middle.

We need an experienced forward leader to replace JWH, so don't be surprised if the club make a play for Reagan Campbell Gillard. He has already sort a release from Parra and has obviously signed with a club that is in the top eight otherwise he would have announced where he is going.

Yeah, the riff has a huge junior base. But I think that a lot of their success comes down to Gus' 5 year plan. Remember that from about 12 odd years ago? Everyone took the piss because it was taking longer than 5 years. But, what he did was ensure every Riff grade played the same style of footy. They now look for talented players who can fit their mould. If they don't fit the mould, the club doesn't invest in them. This ensures that regardless of whoever leaves, they can replace them with the next cab of the rank to do the job. Hence, the continued production line. There's no doubting its success. Players like Api and Stephen Chricton have left and continued to be top shelf players at their new clubs. But those club systems are sub-par. Its the same system throughout each grade that turns these players into exactly what the NRL team needs them to be.

The talk of the large riff junior base and Gould’s so called 5 year plan which he denied is interesting.
Gould and the NRL recognised the increase of Pacific Islanders playing NRL.There has been a generational change.
In the time at his Penrith gig the % has grown 30plus in nearly 10 years.
The NRL now has 45-48 % of Pacific Islander players.
I don’t think it’s a coincidence Gould was contracted by both Penriff and likely as well from the NRL to set it all up in an area which has the largest population of Pacifc Islanders in Sydney.
Gould likely put it to the NRL or vice versa.
The NRL collects all fans data hence the mandatory 17 official stories per day and it’s the collection of data with its media partners that has brought legal action against both parties
The move to Canterbury the same strategic plan as it is also included in the Sydney South West etc.
Gould like the NRL follow the money! The game is controlled not run.
The riff are the NRL darling$ for the time being, and V’Landy with his political connections likely influenced those in parliament for the state to build them a new stadium. Terrific but it’s always about the $.
Our stadium was part of the SCG Trust taken over by the State Govt trading as Venues NSW.

It was noticeable how things began to improve for us when jfh n Leota went off. They will miss Jfh next year.

We had very little ball to run with.
                  They had all the possession.
                  6As, penalties, our mistakes.
All we did was tackle most of the game.
