I think May's biggest asset is his second phase play with the ability to slip a ball away in traffic. That part of his game he has to put away if he starts a game. Id put him in the game after 30 minutes and make sure other push up around him when he takes the ball up. I'd start with JWH and Collins

My criticism in his play is when defending he often stops a attacker with a head on grab and has a bit of a slow waltz with him instead of trying to get him to the ground and turning him on his back

Yes you’d think Jarred would be quite fresh.

Agreed, he is very skillfull with ball in hand but is really lacking intensity in both his carries and defence. We need a lot more intent and aggression from our forwards. I think our pack is the most passive remaining in the comp. Thats not good!

Nat made more metres than both Collins and May did and playing less minutes

              My selection would be -
              1. Tedesco
              2. Toops
              3. Suaalii
              4. Manu
              5. Young
              6. Keary
              7. Sandon Smith
              8. JWH
              9. Watson
              10. May
              11. Crichton
              12. * Radley
              13. Whyte
              14. Leniu
              15. Collins
              16. Sitili
              17. Wong

              18, Steep

              * Nat Butcher into 18 if Radley doesn’t play,, with Wong starting in 12.

I’d even consider bringing Billy Smith into 3 if he’s training well.

jwh will be a big in and a reminder that there's even more to play for this year than usual.
rads coming back would be great - especially for our right side defence - but if the shoulder's still a problem that would be a risk.
yeah i thought whyte and wong were good v panthers and they should be there

Va was good in his debut game huge human bent the line with just about every carry but do you throw him in at this stage we need a specialist hooker to allow Connor to come off the bench that’s where he has real impact wonder how Wong would go at lock or do you stick with Whyte or does robbo give the pack a kick up the backside and stick with what we’ve got hoping Jwh will save the day who is the forwards coach atm he’s got a lot of work to do imo

Regarding the few comments about Rads playing hooker. I don't see that being possible if his shoulder is still busted? How is he supposed to tackle?

Regarding T May I read an article during the week that surprised me a little. Apparently he has admitted his doesn't really love league and is more pursuing it for the $$$$. I don't mind players make big coin, but without the ambition to win a comp, will it lead to him becoming complacent.

If May isn’t playing that well, then what is the take on Collins? Meant to be the co leader of this pack and for all his plaudits last year, has been nothing short of a disappointment. Doesn’t bend the line, ineffective in his runs, makes no yardage. 51 meters in 50 minutes is frankly embarrassing for a FR1. Whyte had triple in less time.

I think the issue with Collins is he’s not yet the man to lead the forwards on his own,as he always seems to play better for QLD or when JWH is in the side..

Hopefully that changes soon as we will need him to man up next year and onwards!

It’s if he is available to play
if he is fit to play edge he is fit so he can play both and tackle and run at both positions
It’s only if he is avaialable which he hasn’t been ruled out yet

At one stage of the game Collins was playing left centre - maybe carrying an injury one feels
