Nofoaluma double helps Glebe to Ron Massey Cup title

A double to David Nofoaluma on the ground he called home for most of his NRL career proved the winning margin for the Glebe Dirty Reds in their 19-6 defeat of Wentworthville Magpies at Leichhardt Oval in the Leagues Clubs Australia Ron Massey Cup Grand Final.

Nofoaluma scored in the 48th and 76th minutes to secure Glebe their first Cup.

That's great for Glebe and those involved.

I was involved in the early stages of the resurrection of the club. I know how much hard work it's taken to get it off the ground.

A foundation club that was kicked out mainly due to Souths and Balmain conspiring to have them removed from the competition.

Easts were one of the clubs that fought for their survival and this was never forgotten. I hope the association continues.

A few whispers around that David Nofoaluma could be offered a train and trial contract with the Roosters for 2025.

We’re going to have a lot of wingers and not many centres
