No no, of course not. But I think Smith still has the powers to be believe in him & his 4 year plan. What that is who knows.

Getting to the GF in his 1st year at the Roosters was in hindsight the worst thing for him. I think the plan was to rebuild over 2 years then become competitive.

If he can continue to convince the powers to be he will see out his contract IMO. So in other words if they miss the 8 this year I dont think he will be sacked because there would be all these circumstances that you & I would be unaware of that the powers to be would be aware of & would understand & see it from Smiths perspective.

It is no good replacing him unless they have Bellamy because I honestly dont think Elliott or Taylor would do any better.

    • Apparently the Eels are giving Kearney a 3 week deadline and Hindmarsh thinks that their recruitment hasn't been the same since he left. Hopefully the Eels snare him. If the Tigers get 10 straight or win the premiership or reach prelims or grand final for that I will post a photo of myself hitting myself with a ruler.

Quote this I mark my word.

No Fred, what I saying is that it wouldn't hurt our arrogant wet behind the ears young farkwits to take some guidance and lessons from a bloke who has survived more than 30 years in the rugby league world!

Brian Smith will still be involved in league long after some our young blokes have had their brief moment in the sun and disappeared from sight, forced to live out a drudge job without the perks of what leage can bring. And there is a reason for that. Smith is a surviver. Many in our playing group wouldn't know what the word meant, let along live by it.

I doubt that Brian Smith has done any great damage to our playing group. He's probably only trying to instil some discpline and mental toughess, and they're getting in a tizz about it because it's all too hard and they don't reckon they need it!! So they have a whinge to anyone who'll listen and Brian Smith ends up as the bad guy, which I don't believe is the case.
